    True Story.
    Agreed.

Not to mention Arguello was already on his last legs, even pre-Pryor.

Pryor beat the ghost of Arguello, and still had to cheat to do it.

He doesn't belong on any top 100 list.

How would he fair up with guys just as fast or better reflexes than him? People need to think about this.
I agree with most of your post.... but please tell me who was faster and who had better reflexes than Roy?

I mean... there maybe 3 or 4... but surely not many beyond that... IF any.

Roy shouldnt be in the top 100,He had the talent to be one of the best yet sadly wasted his whole career fighting 100-1 shot garbage collectors and off duty cops.
A green Hopkins and James 'I had to lose 48lbs in 6 weeks' Toney make a absolutely terrible resume for a guy as talented as he was.
If Bert was talking about the greatest handpickers then Roy certainly would be #1

You're right, Burley ought to be top 15 or 20. What does not winning a title have to do with anything?

It's probaly all comes down to opinion. Some people think probaly the likes of Joe Gans, Jack Johnson, Willie Pep, Pernell Whitaker all had better reflexes tha Roy!

Bert's ratings are crap. But yet he has Jack Dempsey at Number #9 of all time.
Basically, Floyd isnt much different than Roy and people dont want to give Floyd his just due. Perhaps Bert looked at it from an opponent perspective, Roy has really a couple wins that stand out. Toney(whom many say was weight drained), Hopkins(many say he was green), Ruiz(many say he was the worst heavy at the time), and Tarver(who also beat Roy twice). The talent was evident, but if you looked at it on opponents beaten, whom many say that that's what really matters, then his resume may be lacking, depends on what Sugar was going by to make his decision. He may have made this list before the Ruiz win also.

Do you dispute that his resume leaves a hell of a lot to be desired?
