I have no doubt he would obliterate all the names at 135 that you mentioned apart from Marquez who, at least when they are at a similar (lower) weight, would always give him a fairly even fight. At 140+, I think Manny knocks Marquez out.

Also, if he hadn't been offered the Oscar fight, who knows, maybe he would have stayed at 135 for a while, but as far as I know he was already planning on going to 140 and fighting Hatton anyway. He mentioned it around the time he was fighting Diaz.

Diaz was just a stop-off at a service station before proceeding on to his real destination, which was 140+. So, no. I never expected him to stay at 135 anyway.

champion means you won a belt.

it doesn't have to mean you defended it.

Point in case. We're assuming Manny would just have beaten everyone. I'm not saying he wouldn't, I'm just saying.

Why just Manny? you can say the same for DLH or Mayweather. Your saying Ricky hatton and Cotto if he beats him would not be a great accomplishment? You have to re-examine your stance.

In retrospect, after what Campbell did in the Bradley fight, Diaz becomes a worthy opponent even if he was the weakest strapholder at 135.

I say winning a belt means you won a belt.

                Champions defend their belt.

As I've said before, there's no doubt Manny has been a great champion, but not in all these divisions.
you really dont think anyone in the 135-140 division can simply snatch that 6th belt(4th lineal) from hatton as devastating as he did it would you. and you really dont think cotto is a paper belt holder who anyone can just steamroll over do you.

Some idiot. Maybe he was all confused - I once heard him say only a 200lb+ man could beat the invincible Joe Calzaghe. I think he rides Pacquiao's nuts these days.

                    Anyway, he said:
It looks better on the resume later on down the line than guys like Guzman, Campbell (please... ), etc.
Seeing as how Guzman & Campbell were at 135, the implication is that the only fighter Manny fought at that weight will look better on his resume down the line. But maybe he was just confused.

Your saying Barrera, Marquez, Ledwaba, Sasakul arent an accomplishment? He was never given a chance to beat em let alone demolish them.
