I'm so proud of Bud for taking a page outta wealthy fighters and busineess people like Warren Buffett, and other fighters that paved the way for for this behavior, good for him and his family for not being taken advantage of, Bud they should pay you for wearing the belt at this point!

so lets see, bud didnt pay for the madrimov fight either which was another nice turki payday BUT that means the WBC KNEW that bud was NEVER going to pay his fee for the canelo fight but still gave him the belt anyway, so they did it for their own purposes as well

If The WBC's sanctioning fees are a rip-off, Crawford shouldn't have agreed to pay them in the first place. Agreeing to pay and then stiffing after making $50 million is a bad look. Conversely, if Sulaiman didn't have the fees drawn up in a binding contract, wth?

Who can blame him? He can buy another house with that money or give it to relatives or somebody who really needs it and change their life.

great decision. EVERY sanctioning body should strip EVERY champion for time wasting and of course non payment. boxers know the rules. they are not that r e t a r d e d. don't fight for a belt you don't want. crawford should have vacated all 4 belts already. you don't want to defend against ANY of 4 mandatories = vacate. it means 0% for his victory and legacy, no harm done. but any one fighter isn't more important than everybody else combined. he had opportunities, money, fame, resume. other people want to prove and earn too. just let them by vacating.

the one decision i HATE in this is that mbilli is not automatically upgraded like he should be. that's what i was afraid of since crawford won. i expected wbc to order canelo - sheeraz for the real belt while keeping mbilli at interim level. that would be criminal. but mbilli - sheeraz for the title is better than keeping him at interim, i guess.

and one correction: crawford is 11 years champion, not 13 like sulaiman said. but i am used to almost everybody in boxing being unknowledgeable.

Good for Bud! These guys have to pay 3% sanctioning fees for EACH belt which is absurd. They don't do anything and Floyd was rich at some point they just collect dust and these guys are throwing away money and when you're fighting for four of them that's 12% of your dang purse. Screw that. They bring almost nothing to the table at the end of the day so why should there be any fees outside of the making of the belt itself and maybe a small capped fee of $25,000 or so to the design team. This nonsense of paying them $300,000 for one fight is nuts. I am all for some force coming into boxing and eliminating the sanctioning bodies.

That one change alone would make boxing better. I know people are all against a UFC style governing body. I am all in favor. I cannot stomach what these sanctioning bodies have done to the image and productivity of boxing.
