Waiting on Fundora to build the fight is a dangerous move, that nice boy is mean, better off trying to get Zayas belt then Boots, surely Charlo and Spence ain’t coming back

Oscar wants to get him the belt so if they do fight in 2026 Virgil will be the A side and it will be a huge PPV that Oscar will demand 70%. Plus Oscar will have all the leverage in negotiations because he knows Hearn cannot afford to keep losing money on Boots by fighting bums. Advantage = Oscar! I know you guys don't like A sides and B sides but that is life so deal with it!
It's just the way it is. However, Ennis can counter that by challenging and defeating Bakhram Murtazaliev for his 154 pound IBF strap. Then make the fight even bigger as a title unification bout.

I say that because we all know that Xander Zayas won't go nowhere near a Jaron "Boots" Ennis and neither would Vergil Ortiz. It's because they are afraid.

I believe that Oscar De La Hoya and Eric Gomez are deliberately attempting to steer Ortiz away from the bigger punchers in the 154 pound division like: Ennis and Murtazaliev.

Team Ortiz could delay this fight all they want but Vergil is still gonna get his ass whupped whenever they do choose and decide to fight "Boots" Ennis.

Jaron is just the overall, better fighter and most boxing fans already know this to be a fact.

Yes, indeed! Oscar doesn't want any smoke from "Boots" at this present time. He even invited two washed up has beens; In Jermell Charlo and Errol Spence, Jr to the fight. Just so he could use them as leverage against Jaron Ennis in his negotiations with Vergil Ortiz.

3.22 Interim Championship Rule. In special circumstances, including when the WBC in its sole
discretion declares a WBC champion temporarily unavailable to defend his title, the WBC
may sanction a bout between Qualified Challengers for an interim championship, or
otherwise recognize an interim champion in the division.
In its sole discretion, the WBC shall subsequently determine the timing and terms of any
bout between a Champion and Interim Champion to determine a sole champion in the
division, provided, however, that an Interim Champion shall never be deemed a mandatory
challenger, or entitled to greater share of proceeds of any purse offer beyond that of a
            challenger,
without a specific prior written order to that effect from the WBC President or
            his designee

fundora has always been ready to defend his full wbc belt so why have they named ortiz interim champ i wonder?
Ortiz interim title means that he can't be named mandatory. That simply means he can't be put in a position where he has to fight Fundora or lose face. He also cant be named A-side in any negotiations which is a second out. For Ortiz to now fight Fundora he has to take the low money in order to jump over the mandatories that come along. He also cant drop the interim belt without looking like a duck so hes put himself in a no win situation with the WBC.

I believe the sport is called BOXING. It was a nice attempt by you to quote mayweather but i believe he actually said he was a prizefighter...not the sport.

He's almost 28. If he isn't ready for adult food by now, he never will be.

They are going to duck Boots Ennis 100% and it’s not about being afraid. Ortiz has absolutely no chance in this fight so it’s bad business. They will duck guaranteed
