Vergil Ortiz Jnr took care of his business, and then his sport began slowly traipsing back to business as usual...

So basically the fight can be stalled due to money because Oscar feels Vergil is the bigger name and he has “the man” as he put it…in Vergil…if he doesn’t get the lion’s share he’s prepared to negotiate fights with Fundora or Spence…in my opinion Bakhram Murtazaliev is the man at 154 and according to everybody’s favorite friend…ai…Oscar didn’t want the smoke with Bakhram for Vergil…IBF or no IBF rules…

Fight should be 50-50…neither guy has a belt…and will make the most money with each other…entertaining a Spence fight with all that he’s been through???…How U Gonna Do That???…

The tragedy when someone becomes the cash cow is that boxing fans get no.returns. Ortiz is likely to lose his prime now that he gets the no risk contract. He's no longer allowed to have the opportunity to lose. Boxing stars like Ortiz seem to make enough money fighting second teir or past prime fighters. The rest of the talk is just marketing.

Team Ortiz is afraid of Ennis. Now they are using stalling tactics like money and A side. There’s no doubt in my mind that Ortiz wants “Boots” next.

He’s still going to get his ass whupped though but let’s see if Oscar De La Hoya and Eric Gomez are going to allow Vergil to sign the damn contract.

Jaron has signed his portion of it.

Ortiz may want that smoke because he's a warrior, but his promoters don't. I know his fans are enamored because of what he did to Lubin but Boots will not be as stationary as Lubin and he's a much better boxer than Ortiz. But this is boxing and Ortiz has power, so if Boots don't get caught, look for a boxing clinic, maybe even a stoppage. Boots is just as vicious as Ortiz.

Within weeks of Oscar declaring a unified front with the other promoters against a TKO takeover he's already reverted to "muh A side", "muh split". The same garbage that's seen the sport ossify over the past three decades.

How about: "Yes, this is absolutely the fight I want to make in keeping with my recent declaration about doing what's best for the sport"?

If they don't make this fight, Boots should just hang it up because either he or his promotion have failed so terribly over the years to get him the big ones.

What contract would that be? Have you seen it? If so, tell us the purse splits, the date and the location.

He signed some type of document pertaining to the fight. I don’t know what type of document it was.

However, Both Eddie and Jaron have confirmed they signed some kind of document pertaining to the fight.

I don’t know if a contract was drafted and signed or not.

Just judging by Oscar’s own words. It does appear to me at least that he doesn’t feel that Ortiz is ready for the fight. He is already making excuses to not to make the fight. They are preparing to move on without Ennis.
