pac is better than PAULIE BY MILES.... an ATG have more power speed etc etc...

PAULIE HAS BETTER BOXING SKILLS. he knows how to evade exchanges (and likes to clinch among other things). He's more a boxer than a brawler.


Manny pac is more a brawler than a boxer. He will take those chances that paulie didnt.

That's why I cant compare that fight to this one.

Paulie is a natural Welterweight while Pac is not, Paulie is a slick boxer, Pac is not. Something people conveniently forget to realize is Pac and Roach even admit that Pac has only recently added a left hook to his "arsenal". Paulie has ALL punches in his arsenal and has always been a slick boxer.
There is a difference in a slick boxer with speed and a hyper fighter with speed.
Pac only recently (maybe his last 2-3 fights) has updated his style for the better.
WE ALL KNOW that once you get hit all plans go out the window and the fighter goes to his bread and butter. Pac's Bread and butter has always been "you hit me, I hit you, and we trade". Guaranteed, Pac will get hit and he will do the same , thats when he gets KOed.

Pre Cotto Malignaggi actually threw with intent and had a solid jaw I would even concede to the fact that Malignaggi would be just as fast as Pacquiao with better head movement . Post Cotto Malignaggi is a nother story. The guy needed facial reconstruction.

The real question is, How well will Pacquiao respiond to Cottos heavy hands.

Remember Cotto is not a one punch knockout artist, he systematically break dont his opponents but he need to find them to be able to do his job. Pacquiao is not an easy target anymore and Cotto need to set his feet in order to land his power punches.

"anymore" is the key word here.
Pac has had over 50 fights, he has a style and a mindset. When he is hit solid he will go back to that style and mindset. That will be his downfall.
It will take a miracle for Pac not to be hit solid in this fight.

People confuse Pac's speed with him being a slick boxer. He has been in wars, one of the reasons he is so popular and beloved.
He has traded with many of the lighter greats and made some good shows. When he gets hit hard he will go back to his trading ways.

But every punch he lands starts to change the momentum with the exception of Margarito. Judah Mosley Torres Malignaggi Quintana Branco.

All fighters that are top notch in skill. Pacuqiao hasnt ever made anyone just quit based on the brutality of the beating like Cotto has done numerous times.

You didn't need to glorify Pac's status to state the truth homie..Malignaggi is a PURE BOXER and was young and UNDEFEATED!..he was at his HUNGRIEST..

Pure Boxers jobs are to move move move and avoid exchanges..but Cotto stalked this man like a Child ******or on a 6 yr old boy ()..Cotto was cuttin that ring off and trapping him the whole night..and Malignaggi is lightning fast..comparable to Pacquiao's speed even..sure there's no power..but Pac can't rely on a KO in this one..so he'll have to counter and move all night..he can't with out exchanging..and that's when Cotto will get the best of Pacquiao with more accuracy and MUCH more POWER!..

TS, you made some solid points and i can see what makes you think what you said.

But Malignaggi is a whole different fighter from Pacquiao. Yes they both have blazing speed, but Malignaggi is more technically sound than Pacquiao while Pacquiao is more powerful than Malignaggi.

Pacquiao likes to throw a lot of different punches form different angles and is not afraid to trade while Paulie likes to throw his jab and stay at bay and if his opponent gets close he will hold. Also Paulie is not southpaw like Pacquiao.

Pretty much what i am saying is we can't speculate what Pacquiao will do by comparing a fighter like Pacquiao with a boxer like Malignaggi. At the end of the day Paulie may have given Cotto a tougher fight than Pacquiao or vice, Pacquiao may have given Cotto a tougher fight than Malignaggi.

Judah vs Cotto is a much better way to predict wht will happen in Cotto-Pacquiao. Pacquiao does not gas out like Judah, and he actually uses his left hand that Judah did not use much but when he threw it he caught Cotto nicely with it. Plus Judah and Pacquiao are both very fast with explosive power, and they are southpaws. Pacquiao is jut more disciplined and has more stamina than Judah and he is def busier than Judah.

pacmans speed will be a problem for cotto, but cotto is younger version of de la hoya

what i mean by this is , he fights in the same stance in the orthodox stance but is stronger hand is the left and is money punch is the left hook!!

cotto is a little different with going to the body more and seems to be able to fight against south paws and closes the ring better than de la hoya

why i bring this up is, the gameplan for de la hoya was not to sit on is punches because of de la hoyas left hook!!! so who said he's gonna sit on is punches against cotto???

i dont think pacman will be as aggressive as judah was and wont be throwing bombs he will be scoring and working is quick hands!! cotto will be walking him down and will work the body

also cottos fight against clottley, i watched it closely and cotto is less aggressive than he use to be but clottely is a fantastic fighter very under rated!! cotto is not a shot fighter and is not by any means been spoilt but margarito

i think cotto beats pacman on points!!!

Good points expect for your prediction. Cotto wont win a desicion to Manny in Vegas, actully his very best chance is an early KO
