Hatton easily beat Maggs who beat Diaz who almost beat Marquez therefore Hatton and Marquez are about the same.

When the fight was made by looking at Malignaggi face I thought it was a massacre with all the blood and his jaw broken and that he didnt touch Cotto at all. However watching at the film now it was a different story, I found the bout very competitive and I think Cotto did very well and deserved the decision.

Now my question is, based on this fight what is your expectation for the Cotto-Pacquiao fight? I think had Magginagi more power with the amount of punches that he connected on Cotto he eventually would have won the fight.

Now you know Pacquiao is heavy handed and his accuracy is way superior to Malignaggi and also his volume punching and look a how he was beating Cotto to the punch, realistically how do you think Cotto will manage to handle Manny? and even though his jab could be an answer but will it be an answer the whole fight if the fight extend to the later rounds? i see it almost impossible because eventually he would get tire and is when Manny will try to catch him with his accurate and solid combinations and the rest is history.

      Thank you for your comments.
Once Cotto felt how hard Malignaggi was hitting, he tooks chances...as you can see on Malignaggi's face. Malignaggi is a sneaky dude, but he was being overwhelmed for most of the fight. I give Pauli a lot of credit for having heart and sticking in there, but in no way even passed the 1-2 round did pauli have a chance. Cotto even at 140 was much stronger than Malignaggi.

Not every fighter wins fights by not getting hit at all and totally beating the **** out of people.

Check out those weigh in pictures...dude looked like a walking corpse.

Paulie also held a ton, Pac doesn't do that.
Cotto looked like he had aids. Not only that, Paulie was making fun of Cotto during a press conference just before the weighin asking Cotto if he wanted a drink and then Pualie said, my bad, you have to make weight

        Very unsportsmanlike tactic by Malignaggi

All part and parcel of selling a fight and Paulie M brought a lot of attention to the fight with his mouth, The thing is Cotto was calm and cool he didnt have to trashtalk or get himself in a silly situation, The PR fans were the ones getting heated up for whatever reason, I dont get why fans get offended my an opponent trashtalk their favourite fighter they take it soooo personal and get emotional.

                      Very Good Post!

Malignaggi did exceptionally well.. I actually had the fight closer than the judges.. I thought Paulie won at least 4 rounds with 2 even.. He showed big balls and an even bigger heart in that fight, and by no means did Cotto have it easy..

With regard to how this measures up with Pac, I totally agree with the poster.. It doesn't look good for Cotto.. Malignaggi landed with ease, so there's no reason to suggest Pac won't do it harder and more often.. Add this to the fact that an, 'on the slide' Ricky Hatton seemed to have an easier nights work than Cotto..

                      The omens are bad..
