Fact is that styles make fights and to me this is a bad matchup for Cotto, as simple as that because as for quality they are for me at the same level, Pacquiao maybe a little bit more gifted, Cotto maybe a little bit a better technician and heart of a champion 50/50.
What people fail to realize is Cotto's competition increased as he went up to 147. Name another WW that fought Zab Judah, Shane Mosley, Antonio Margarito, and Joshua Clottey in the span of 2 yrs and only took 1 loss out of those 4. Not every fight is going to be this virtuoso performance from Cotto because he'd indeed fighting the best guys. People are looking at Cotto as a shot fighter because he had a tough outing against Clottey and are making Pacquiao look incredible because of how he KO'd Hatton. People won't outright admit it, but that's really what it is. They're not looking at the big picture...this particular style match up.

I'm tellin ya'll, Pacquiao is in for one hell of a night...and Cotto's not even my favorite fighter for me to say that, I just see through the smoke and mirrors that the media's gassed the public up with (including a lot of people on here). Pac is a great fighter, but isn't by any means a defensive wizard.

Cotto vs Paulie doesn't equate to Pac vs Cotto.

I think Cotto is much better now and at a better weight for him.

Even though, I still pick Pac in a stoppage because he is a beast.

It doesn't matter if he looked huge. He left all he had in training to make 140 pounds and could not fight all 3:00 minutes of a round but I bet your hate will not let you understand that.

he went into the fight with no hand injuries and used both hands against Cotto.
I think Paulie is under rated.. well, a two handed Paulie is a very good fighter, the hand injuries are what have kept him back though.

pacmans speed will be a problem for cotto, but cotto is younger version of de la hoya

what i mean by this is , he fights in the same stance in the orthodox stance but is stronger hand is the left and is money punch is the left hook!!

cotto is a little different with going to the body more and seems to be able to fight against south paws and closes the ring better than de la hoya

why i bring this up is, the gameplan for de la hoya was not to sit on is punches because of de la hoyas left hook!!! so who said he's gonna sit on is punches against cotto???

i dont think pacman will be as aggressive as judah was and wont be throwing bombs he will be scoring and working is quick hands!! cotto will be walking him down and will work the body

also cottos fight against clottley, i watched it closely and cotto is less aggressive than he use to be but clottely is a fantastic fighter very under rated!! cotto is not a shot fighter and is not by any means been spoilt but margarito

i think cotto beats pacman on points!!!
