I just hate folks thinking, there is always a reason why the black person is being pulled over ALL the time and 9/10, it starts with racism. The mere fact that they live in the neighborhoods that they do and conditions is from systemic racism. White folks need to look into the mirror more often to realize just how good life is for them and appreciate it, because you could have been born on the other side.

If I was a cop and I stopped a car late at night driving recklessly with 4 white guys and a gun visible I'd do exactly the same and I expect any black cop would too

That is the question. He wasn’t speeding so it seems they threw this out to justify the stop.

Nebraska is a constitutional carry state. Therefore, him having a visible firearm is not a reason to escalate a stop. Just ask for his permit.

No permit is necessary in a Constitutional Carry State. That is what Constitutional Carry means , the Constitution is what permits you to carry. Nothing else is required.

I don't know but I'm thinking that maybe Bud or whoever had the gun put the gun on the floorboard before the cops got to the vehicle so that they didn't have to handle the firearm after the cops got to the car. I can't see anyone who knows guns driving around with a gun rolling around loose on the floor of their car unless they're some kind of moron. Some states make you tell the cops if you have a gun , others don't. I don't know what the deal is in Nebraska. I'd just as soon not tell them , I don't feel like being shot by a nervous cop trying to disarm me.

Anyone that doesn't live in the damn woods with snaggle tooth white friends should know that in America, you can easily be pulled over just for being black. That's enough to warrant a pullover, then try to "find" something. The problem however is when things get escalated as they typically do and there are guns involved. Police got the government backing gun so they can shoot, make a up a story perhaps and get away with it. The black folks got the government against them by default, so they're really up against a wall in these situations.

The most you can do as a black person, is "take it". This is something white people will never understand by evident that they can simply have a normal conversation with a police officer when they're pulled over and there is never the tension as though their life might just end in that moment. A black dude who starts questioning a police officer will immediately cause escalation and their goal is then hoping the black dude gives them a reason they can fire at them.

A lot of white people who claim that white privilege doesn't exist don't understand or don't want to understand that the BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT is a large part of it. That's what they get that ********** don't. **** , these days my skin has them doubting my citizenship , something that never will happen to them. Or even my brother and sister who aren't brown like me. I even had a State Trooper , a black guy, admit to me that he only pulled me over because I was Hispanic looking and driving a U-Haul truck on I-10.
