Barry McGuigan's resume is garbage. He has one good win and his resume is not better than Dillian Whyte's. The fact he was "Lineal" champion is irrelevant.

Again though still besides the point. That's just one example, there are endless others that could be used that also will never see the HOF ballot.

Hence why, your argument is dumb.
Yes, winning is the point. Winning a legitimate divisional crown will always mean more than winning nothing and popping for PEDs a handful of times while you do it.

Whyte accomplished literally nothing in his entire career. Nothing at all.

So you're really doubling down on Carlos Baldomir having a better resume than Dillian Whyte? Please go ahead and explain that one. Let's go through their resume and compare their wins and how you've come to that conclusion.

You're stuck on the Dillian Whyte example and not the actual point of the challenge to your position likely because you know your position is moronic and can't defend it.

Dillian Whyte isn't relevant to the point, he's one example of a plethora of others that could be used.

To use the argument of "Mcgugian, Gatti and Paz are in the HOF so fighter A has a could get in" is a stupid argument because #1 those three are only in the HOF because of their extreme popularity and cult like fanbases and #2 you could make a day of listing fighters who will never ever see the ballot that have better resumes than all three of them.

      Hence, your dumb position.

        It's extremely simple.
Whyte accomplished nothing in his career.
Baldomir, though a scumbag, accomplished something in his career.

        Something > nothing.

Even you should be able to understand that.

whyte's resume is better than wilders but i bet you would say something about how wilder has a bunch of title defenses(against bums) therefore he accomplished a lot.

your entire something is baldomir beating zab judah who was not a strong or dominant champ in any way shape or form. zsolt erdei was lineal champ too. it doesnt mean you are a great fighter and it doesnt infer greatness simply by beating them, and if you look at the totality of baldomirs career and the totality of zabs welterweight career where he was 1-1 against spinks, lost to floyd, cotto, clottey, etc...its just not an amazing win. whyte's win over parker is probably better since parker was a better heavyweight than judah was welterweight. whyte also has other good wins where baldomir doesnt unless you include a laughable DQ win over clottey after clottey dominated him the entire fight.

Too much stock is put into belts these days there are a lot of multi weight world champions who have absolute horrendous resumes.
Adrien Broner is a 3 or 4 weight world champion yet his best win is probably like DeMarco or a past prime Paulie who many felt beat him. Your average hardcore fan probably couldn't even name more than one titlist he won a belt against.

It should be more who you beat not how many belts you've won against literal nobodies.

Neither guy is close to HOF material and I don't buy the Stallone is in so why not thing. If that is the case we might as well chuck in everyone who has laced them up

There are too many belts, way too many and its a very weak era so these belts are just being passed around like nobodies business.
We are getting what are probably domestic level fighters becoming world titlists on a very regular basis.

I'd personally rid many of these belts
Its really took the shine off things when they're emailing belts, constantly upgrading fighters to super duper champions, stripping world champions for the minimal of reasons, having domestic level fighters competing for vacant belts. The whole system needs overhauling, its ridiculous and makes a mockery of the sport and its confusing as hell.

The point of competing is to win. If you become the divisional king, that's a worthy accomplishment. Period. Whyte never beat anybody in a fight with anything on the line.

You can spend all day twisting yourself into pretzels about hypotheticals and who would've beaten whom, but lineal championships are actual, substantial accomplishments.

And for the 10th time, Whyte only won the Parker fight due to getting credit for a knockdown on an intentional headbutt. Without that bad call the fight is either a draw or a Parker win on the cards, and if Parker had received time to recover after the butt he would've likely ended up stopping Whyte. He had Whyte on dream street at the final bell as it was and that was after having to fight through wobbly legs for a few rounds after the fake knockdown.

It actually would, he has a fairly good resume he just isn't a huge superstar and this would make him a 3 division champion.

Are you purposely acting retarded because you can't defend your position or is it unintentional?

Dillian Whyte is IRRELEVANT to the point, did you not read that part?

Now just for the record, the idea of Carlos Baldomir having a better resume than Dillian Whyte is laughable. He doesn't, and that's an objective fact.
