A Canelo rematch is realistic if he wants it. Or some patsy hometown title defense at 168.

Other than that, I really don't see how anybody else is a bigger fight than Lara. And you could easily set up Adames vs Janibek in the meantime. You're making this out to be a lot harder than it is.

Even if he were to fight those big names that are currently at 154, he'd drag them up to 160 or 168. He has all the leverage against them, he's not the b-side like he was against Canelo and Spence. He spent a whole year putting on weight the right way to get to 168, he's not going to drain down two whole weight classes at 38 to fight guys who bring less to the table than he does.

Yes he should but the establishment will not take the risk of letting some mystery man from Kazakhstan winning and becoming the face of boxing. Alimkhanuly will not sell in USA or UK, the two biggest boxing markets.

Bud will have to overrule the estab and dare to be great at 160. It's a very dangerous fight because we know Alimkhanuly is great but we don't know HOW great. Very risky fight for Bud. Gonna be interesting to hear what Bud says about challenging Alimkhanuly. Being a throwback true great, never ducked or dodged, he just may so bring it on. But he could also say, tough luck man, you have to keep waiting for the big money like I did.
