Why losing time with lara, just fight Janibek, who has 2 belts, beat him, prove you are the best at 160 and retire undefeated.

Business smart move would be fight Benn -Eubank jr. winner, but Bud is all about legacy.

It's not about just picking up belts. He needs the lineal crown and the undisputed championship. Just beating Janibek straight up offers neither of those.

If he becomes lineal and undisputed he'd be the only 5 division lineal champion in history and the only 4 division undisputed champion in history.

Picking up a belt at 160 does make him just the third 6 division world titlist, but the real legacy would be standing alone as the undisputed king of 4 and lineal king of 5 divisions.

So do a 4 man tournament.
Crawford vs Lara for the WBA
Janibek vs Adames for the WBC, IBF, WBO, Ring, TBRB, and lineal championship

Then winner vs winner for undisputed

being undisputed is forever be etched in TBud's head now

quadruple division undisputed would be difficult record to break

he has 3 fights left and enough time to get it done

If Turki backs it they could get it done in 2 fights for Crawford.

Do Crawford vs Lara with Janibek vs Adames on the undercard and then winner vs winner. Janibek and Adames have been avoiding each other because the money isn't there, so that's where Turki comes into play. Meanwhile Lara gets a nice retirement payday.

and TBud gets what should be an easy fight after coming off a big one

an easy fight to compensate for him usually being a one a year guy

          Erislandy
          probably Janibek

          2027
Whichever easy opponent TBud wants as a retirement goodbye match

Why not? There is talk of Turki putting up the cash for a PBC event. Crawford himself mentioned 160 as a possibility, and it seems like the most likely spot for him to go if he doesn't retire.

If Turki gets behind it, it can happen fast. Middleweight has been a wasteland since Canelo, GGG, and Jacobs moved up anyway.

Aka a cherry pick fight after beating a washed Canelo? I thought these type of fights were frowned upon on here?

Janibek, Adames, and Lara are the consensus top 3 middleweights and they all have at least one belt. Beating any of them in his first fight at 160 would be a nice accomplishment.

Because Crawford fights once a year at best and is not going to waste to his time fighting the likes of Lara or doing Middleweight tournaments. He's at the tail end of his career he's not going to take high risk low reward fights or just general low reward fights and definitely not multiple of those.

He fought at SMW because of the preposterous money and massive fight with Canelo. He's not going to fight at 160 to fight unknown fighters for a fraction of that, he may pick up a belt there but he's not going to be undisputed there that's just not going to happen.
