Who did Tyson ever beat? His resume is pretty bad.

His resume for the hype is shocking. Spinks was two weight divisions below him and he beat old man Holmes coming off 2 losses. The thing with Douglas, he did not only knock Tyson out, he also gave him a boxing lesson, and what is Douglas, C-Class? He beat a few half-decent boxers, and that's it. The 80s was a dreadful era for HW boxing, but kudos to the Tyson hype machine, that was amazing and it had so many fooled, but the reality was, when the going gets tough, Mike got going, to the tune of the Billy Ocean song. Criticizing Holmes for being old is ironic too considering AJ and Furys best win is arguably a Wlad who was even older and retired right after. 4 years after the Tyson loss Holmes was still around beating Mercer and going the distance with Holyfield.Comment

Who gives a fck? I'd give prime Iron Mike a good shot at beating ANY Heavyweight in history (including Ali). Simply put, his physique, speed, reflexes, KO power and defence made him almost impossible to beat. In fact, it's only when he beat himself by slacking and partying in addition to his prison stint that he started losing.

Id not underestimate Tyson wins. He beat the top ten of his time.
Do you think bruno, Tyrell Biggs and Tony Tucker won't say Tyson the best they faced..And they shared ring with lennox lewisComment

You can look at stats and records, but it’s not the same as living through the era — as I did. Mike was a great fighter, and as electrifying as anyone we’ve ever seen. At his peak, I’d wager he might beat anyone who ever lived on a given night. But Tyson is indeed overrated. Yeah, he beat everyone that was around at the time; but who was that, really? We all know he lost every fight that truly ever meant anything. It is what it is.Comment
