I do believe fighters of yesteryear were a lot better than today's fighters. Usyk is perhaps the best Cruiser and Heavyweight of his generation. Holyfield was a lot better than the competition that Usyk has faced so far in his career.

In addition, Holyfield was adept in competing against the European style of boxing. Could he have defeated Usyk in his generation? The answer is yes. Could Usyk have defeated Holyfield in this current generation? The answer is yes.

    Both fighters are great fighters.

I say Usyk faced better competition at every level. Nobody can prove who was better, of course Holy's opposition is more famous and popular. Usyk never makes any mistakes, Holy made many in the ring. Usyk by decision.

What version of Holyfield? You can't judge Evander because he had a long career after his peak.

          Put it in perspective.
          Exactly.

The Holyfield that beat a prime Bowe beats Usyk. I don't see anything Usyk can do to beat that version of Holyfield. Big difference between prime Bowe and Daniel Dubois.

It would be a competitive fight. Holyfield was ready especially if someone talked crap to him or doubted him. I don't think he would have mental fuel against Usyk because he doesn't talk trash to opponents. Skill against skill I will lean toward Usyk by split decision victory if both are at their primes, no knockdowns. Great fight.

I’d pick a prime Holyfield over Usyk at any point. But of course we’ll never know.

Neither of them survives 12 vs Golota or Tua.
