Paul is not to blame for his surge of popularity in the sport, so there’s no reason to dislike him. Many fans and their favorite boxers are the reasons why he’s reached this level of popularity. The “faces of boxing” have let the sport down by refusing to take the real fights and have milked their idiot fan bases into paying for shyt fights instead. Rather than not supporting trash fights, these groupie fan bases defended their favorite fighters ducking, mainly due to tribalism. So gradually , more people got turned off by boxing and that opened the door for Jake Paul to create these circus type events that brought in fans, who otherwise had no reason to have interest in the sport, because boxing wasn’t creating any major events. He’s done what many of your favorite fighters have failed to do which is make major events that captivated fans beyond the typical ones.

I have to agree. I absolutely love boxing and follow it daily and have for decades and will for decades. Just look at the comments above and you will see that purists are completely discrediting in and even thrashing the author of this article, who really wrote a pretty good article.
When a system does not perform to the standard of purists, It is likely someone will come in and muddy those waters and this is exactly what has happened. I can't stand the pictures showing him pretending to look like he is crazy, but he is so freaking smart with how he has put all of this together and we would be remiss to see that stop anytime soon.
I think it sucks so bad that Chavez was not able to show his worth and clean Paul's clock because that is absolutely what should have happened.
I for one would love to see Paul use his wealth and Buck the system mentality to promote fighters and make actual real fights where it does not have to be Saudi Arabia ruling that realm.

Speaking as an elderly man whose sons, I am glad to say, listen to proper music, not Charli cxxc, I would love it if Froch came out of retirement and tanked Paul. It is, sadly, about 10 years too late for Dennis ‘the rock’ Andries to still put his teeth down his throat for him!
