For me, Jake Paul is currently a semi-useful idiot. When his cards start looking like the Times Square fiasco, I'll officially tune out. But they haven't. Other than his fights, you can be reasonably certain of seeing at least one great fight. He has good matchmakers.
He’s a much better promoter than boxer
    Maybe stick to reality

He's still a terrible boxer who gasses after five rounds and has no business being ranked. For all the good that he does for the sport, he undoes a lot by simply participating.
Paul's running a racket, but it's ok. He's giving old, retired mma fighters and boxers opportunities to make money that they would otherwise not likely get. People say he's hurting the sport, but not really. Even if the corrupt forces that be do rank him, he'll not do well against active, top-tier fighters, and I think he knows it. The good thing that he has going will end if he fights Bonafide, ranked fighters, so it's best for him to continue beating up has-beens.

I will say this about Jake - he’s fought far better competition than most of your favorite boxers had at 8 fights into their careers.

JCC jr was still fighting guys with ZERO WINS when he was 14 fights in.

The amount of fanfare around his fights is a circus, but if he wasn’t famous, his resume would be crazy for a guy with no amateur experience.

          Kind of contradicting
So what does that say about Chavez ???
Paul fought another non-active fighter, let’s be realistic

Juan Manuel Marquez fought a guy who was 1-12 in in his 19th fight.

Floyd fought a guy who was 1-13 in his 9th fight.

Ryan Bourland was unquestionably a better opponent than either of those guys. An inactive JCC Jr and Tommy Fury as well.

The point stands - Jake has fought way better opposition than most world champions eight fights in.

So a non active fighter is better than an active fighter

...a non-active career middleweight at that.

Also, can't remember if it was the ninth or tenth, but Chavez caught Jake with a great shot and he was out on his feet for a few seconds. You can see him crumble and Chavez' shoulder (and the ref) are keeping him standing whilst he recuperates.

Jake is gonna continue playing this game. Believe that.

Exactly. The only reason why Paul's win over Chavez, JR means anything at all is because of Julio's father's famous name. JR on his own merit will always be known as an undedicated, lazy, disappointing offspring to one of boxing's greats.
