Is this fight actually signed? Thought I read that talks had collapsed because Teo ducked.

Happy for Teo. I don't care to see Haney fight in a big fight any longer, the outcome is predictable. There are better fights out there for Teo. Maybe he should revisit Subriel Mathias fight again.Comment

I agree with you that Teo has the ability to fight on the front foot but as he moved up in weight, he seems to prefer the back foot. Good points on similar hand and foot speed. I think it will be a close fight but I don't expect an entertaining bout.
I wouldn't call either of these guys pure counter-punchers. Haney has turned himself into a pure runner of late, but Lopez can fight equally well on the front and rear foot. Haney normally enjoys significant hand and foot speed advantages over his opponents, but he has neither of these against Lopez. He also doesn't have any advantage in overall craft and he's up against a pretty clear power deficit against Teo, even though Teo is the naturally smaller guy. I actually think this fight is going to be an interesting and exciting high-level chess match that might just turn into a barn burner before long. Here's hoping anyway. Lopez TKO 10.Comment

That’s right! I’ve heard that also from Mike Coppinger. Haney has stated that he has signed the contract but thus far; Teo has not signed his portion of it.
In addition, the two has had a back and forth on twitter concerning Teo pulling out of the fight.
However, It’s all mere speculation, rumor and premature at this point. I think the fight will happen.Comment
