Haney is a good fighter, but as someone below said, "Garcia exposed him." In my view, Loma took 7, maybe 8, of the rounds against Haney. Haney was lucky to be on the right side of a bad decision. So, Loma exposed Haney, as well. Haney is not great, nor, coincidentally, is Lopez, who seems to be inconsistent. Should be a good fight, but could be boring.

This has sleeper written all over it. The only chance is Lopez getting a bit reckless to try and make activity against Haney whose going to be on his bike the entire fight.
The last thing I'd actually want is to see Lopez lose because of getting reckless due to the lack of activity from Haney who isn't afraid to bore out the crowd. I don't see any "entertainment" value from this fight beyond perhaps the press conference leading up to it between Bill Haney and Teofimo and even his father.
This is a fight that will be 90% build up and hype, 10% enjoyment of the actual main event.

The press conferences where the whack-job fathers will make "eloquent contributions" promise more entertainment than the fight itself.
And no PPV necessary.

After that last performance, Haney should not be allowed on TV in a major fight unless his paycheck is withheld and paid based on his performance in the fight. Dude is basically going to run a track meet again and make it a boring fight. Teo was outboxed by Ortiz and that Spanish guy before and it will likely be the same playbook for Haney. You hope Teo has learned a thing or two from those fights in how to cut the ring off. As much of a dufus Teo is, you gotta root for him here 'cos he 'll be the one trying to make the fight.James Hunt
