Comments Thread For: Official: Devin Haney, Teofimo Lopez signed for August 16 in Saudi Arabia

Haney and Lopez both won on May 2 in New York City's Times Square. When Ryan Garcia lost to Rolando Romero that same night, Haney turned toward Lopez instead of a Garcia rematch.

Wow, even with all the racism Mr. Lopez. Showed to Turkey by calling him habibi and saying for turkey to call him Mohammed.with a funny accent! Devin haney better win this fight.

This will be another "very tactical" fight, meaning Zzzzz. Haney was scared of Ramirez's power, and ran all night, so just imagine how cautious he will be against Lopez, who will just sit back and wait for Haney to make a mistake.

This is going to be a snoozer of a fight. 2 counterpunchers, 1 of whom will refuse to engage and will run the whole fight. This is probably Haney's last notable fight before retirement.

Haney is not a threat to Teo at all, no titles, not a real threat in the ring, just cherry picking a name. Haney's right hand couldn't break wind, he will be unable to hurt Teo, which makes it difficult to get excited about this fight, and I find it interesting that Teo pursed perhaps the softest fighter on earth after his gangster liquor video.

              50-50 fight

We've seen Teo outboxed, and we've seen Haney get punched out from speed and power. Looks good on paper, but will probably be a terrible fight

Props to both guys for making this fight happen. They are willing to fight the best unlike Tank who avoids the best. I am not expecting a super exciting fight because Haney will be running all night, like he did against Ramirez. I hope the judges do not stiff Teo because he will be the one trying to make the fight happen.

The thrash talk between the fathers is going to be epic, with Haney swallowing his words after the fight.
