VERY close fight. Could have been a draw. Arthur was landing the much cleaner punches. Yarde won this on sheer volume and work rate but his work rate was a bit of an illusion because it wasn't particularly effective.
Benn has been drip feeding us excuses all week for his impending defeat by talking about being a Welterweight and dropping back down after tonight.
Nice strategy.
The same can be said for Eubank. Both are trying to set the stage for a potential rematch.
Benn has no excuses, based on his training and inactivity. He needs to leave it all in the ring. He has a better chance tonight than he did the first time it was scheduled.
I hope this happens once, and only once. But this circus will happen again, if they can sell it.
