    Moses Itauma.

Definitely has quick hands. Too early to tell if it shows at a higher level. But southpaw too, so he could be a real problem.

Corrie Sanders. He had the physique of a middle aged golfer (not far from reality) but he had some lightning quick hands and threw in combinations from a southpaw stance.

Never forget him blitzing Wladimir with those combinations. Klitschko never saw that straight left coming. Sanders didn't really have great stamina (I'm not sure he ever really trained that hard even though he was a natural athlete) but he was dangerous early.

Andy Ruiz is such a disappointment. Every time watching his fights those blistering combinations and front foot counter punching is so nice to watch.

Heavyweight division is pumping right now and he's missing in action. Why isn't he screaming out for a fight with any of the top guys or prospects.

Just no dedication to the sport.

In no particular in order: Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson, David Haye, Oleksandr Uysk, Jimmy Young, Herbie Hide, Chris Bryd, Jack Dempsey, Evander Holyfield, Larry Holmes.

I would rate those fighters up above, as the overall some of the fastest Heavyweight fighters of all times 'But people must understand that there are two types of speed i.e. Combination punch speed, and 2: Single punch speed'.

A fighter like Floyd Mayweather Junior had single punch speed comparable to Roy Jones Junior and Amir Khan 'But both Jones Junior, and Khan had superior combination punch speed'. A Heavyweight fighter such as Joe Frazier also had a very high level of single punch speed with his trademark punches i.e. the left hook, and his combination punch speed was good. You could so easily put Joe Frazier in the top-10 alongside fighters such as Jimmy Young and Chris Byrd'.

Heavyweight fighters such as Wladimir Kiltschko at his peak or in solid form 'Has a very high level of single punch speed, it was almost on par with David Haye's single punch. Which was why when Haye fought Kiltschko, and opted to compete with him from mid to long range? Both fighters appeared to nullify each other, but with Wladimir Kilthcko just able to edge the rounds with his superior jab. Still David Haye displayed a very high level of overall speed in that fight? As people must factor in that Haye was competing against absolute peak Kiltschko. David Haye may have lost the fight, but Wladimir Kiltschko had a difficult time landing on Haye consistently throughout the fight'.

Fighters who predominantly have a very high level of single punch speed 'Utilize this attributes with their mid to long range game. Heavyweight fighters such as Muhammad Ali and Larry Holmes may have the fastest single punch speed of all times. Heavyweight fighters such as Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield, David Haye and Oleksandr Uysk excel in the area of combination punch speed as well as single punch speed'.

In today's Heavyweight era 'Oleksandr Uysk is the fastest overall Heavyweight fighter. And to be honest? His nearest other Heavyweight competitors overall in this area are Super Heavyweight fighters Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua. This modern day Heavyweight era is not really heavily competitive with fighters, who have super hero type attributes. If Oleksandr Uysk was competing during the 90's, 80's and 70's Heavyweight eras? In my opinion his speed and endurance, would not really be his biggest factor in winning him fights'.

But Oleksandr Uysk's overall athleticism, speed and endurance 'Have been the major factors which have won him his top level fights 'Skill for skill nobody can really claim that Uysk is miles better than his nearest competition. Oleksandr Uysk has fought 48 rounds vs Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua. And both Fury and Joshua were able to skill for skill compete with Uysk, and win rounds against him. It was Uysk's superior endurance, combined with a great level of speed which enabled him to accumulative more points, over the long duration of the fights'.

So Oleksandr Uysk does have impressive punch speed compared to his nearest competition 'But if he was competing in any other Heavyweight era, in the areas of Combination punch speed and Single punch speed. Past great Heavyweights such as Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield are potentially half a gear to 1 complete gear above Oleksandr Uysk in this area of boxing.' etc.

Dont know why you wouldnt post this in the history section, you would get great responses there and lots of good discussion. In fact there is a similar thread there right now (though it is p4p not just heavy).

I think there are two different lines of thought on this. One leads you to Ali, who threw fast, but not as heavy punches. Usually a lightning fast, flicking jab, often followed by a quick straight right. If we are talking about speed of punches in regards to getting a punch out there regardless if force you have Ali as that standard.

But then you get the other end, guys who were fast handed at throwing power punches, fast while sitting down on the punch. Tyson is a good answer here, though I would rank him just behind his proto version- Floyd Patterson. To be fair, Tyson had a lot more power than Patterson, and Patrerson fought mostly at a modern cruiserweight, but man he had hand speed.
