Manny ducked the guys to beat -Spence and Thurman- to fight the guy that looked bad in his last fight 2 years prior.

He’s been angling to do the same thing now by ducking Crawford and Boots to fight Mario Barrios, another elevated champion that looked bad in his last fight ( draw with Ramos lmfao).

    There is clearly a pattern.

You mean he had no chance to beat an active top p4p opponent like Crawford. So he chose a guy that hadn’t been active in a long time that looked bad his previous time out.

Thurman wasn’t recognized as the guy to beat. He wasn’t even ranked p4p like Spence and Crawford.

        More marketable. Since when?

What a comical set of lies

"Universally recognized as the the guy to beat at WW" Literally the opposite of the truth he HADN'T BEATEN A RANKED FIGHTER IN 28 MONTHS. Did you miss that part? He barely beat an unranked Joseito Lopez.

He not only wasn't the best (He was ranked #3) he was an after thought. Do you think when I say he's #3 that that's my ranking or are you not aware that that's literally and factually where he was ranked in 2019?

Beating prime Cott at his own game. It wasn't Cott light.

" The Manny Pacquiao vs. Miguel Cotto fight was announced on July 20, 2009, when Top Rank promoter Bob Arum confirmed that a deal had been completed for the bout to take place on November 14, 2009, at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. "
That is almost half a year of preparation for shedding of one extra lbs from coming in weighing 146 from the Clottey fight, having been a 140lb fighter.

Just so you're aware buddy there are plenty of fighters with 75% KO Ratio's and sometimes higher that also aren't punchers. A KO% doesn't automatically equate to someone being a big puncher and Keith Thurman is living proof of that.
Lol you do realise that 0.1% of 100 million boxing fans globally would be akin to 100,000 fans aka a small handful don't you retard?

Re Thurman, he either dropped/stopped 25/31 opponents he defeated with virtually all of the others being extremely durable fighter's who were only stopped in the final fight of their careers and ALSO went the distance with MANY other top Welterweights at the time. Therefore, Keith was unequivocally a puncher during his prime.

Keith Thurman hadn't beaten a ranked fighter in 28 months at that point He was only #3 because he sc****d by an unranked Joseito Lopez who had him out on his feet.

He wasn't the best WW in the world, it's as simple as that and that is a literal objective fact. You can kick, scream, cry all you want about it but it won't change it.
Thurman was only ranked #3 on Ring magazine's list due to inactivity and NOT ability. After all, you just said so yourself that he hadn't beaten a ranked fighter in 28 months which is the ONLY reason they ranked him below Crawford & Spence. Crawford's ranking was also elevated due to previously being undisputed champion at Light Welterweight. However, that DOESN'T mean they were 'better Welterweights' than Thurman at the time as prior to the Lopez tune-up, he dispatched of Garcia & Porter in back-to-back fights who were 2 of the STRONGEST fighter's in the division.

For example, Tiger Woods was universally considered the best golfer on the planet but slipped down the rankings due to a long injury layoff. However, when he returned, NOBODY considered him to be inferior to the current #1 simply because of his previous body of work. Ditto for Thurman who was previously a unified Welterweight champion and had also beaten 6 other champions in his weight class unlike Crawford & Spence.

However, only a dumbass like you would believe that Crawford beating Horn (who got a hometown decision against Pacquiao), Benavidez Jr (who achieved NOTHING at the weight) and glass-chinned Khan (who'd already been splattered 3 times) were more impressive!
