I am not triggered by anything what happened between Tim and Bakhram. Tim was overconfident to the point of arrogance and went into that fight thinking he was levels above Murtazaliev and was going to blow him away in a couple of rounds. He paid the price for such a dumb mistake. Now he has to try to rebuild (if he can).

I agree with you that Keith Thurman is about the right level of opponent (off the couch) to put in front of Tim and see where his level is at after the brutal loss to Murtazaliev. I think it will be a tough fight for both of them.

Tim was trying to show his old man, who showed up for the first time in years, that he was a killer when he fought Murt. Murt is a good fighter but he never looked that good before and he won't again. Tim was trying to hurt him from the first punch and he got caught fighting like a real moron. He said it himself.

If Tim takes his time and uses his head he can beat any fighter at 154. He showed last night he isn't shot by any means.

I agree with your assessment but Tim will need a few fights to rebuild his confidence first. For what it's worth, It looks like Tim has realised his mistake of trying to impress his famous father and banned him from the corner this time. He also gave Joey a lot more respect than he gave Murtazaliev. Once again, good move and showing he is learning from his mistakes.

I'd put Tim back with Fundora right now. I am sure he would destroy Fundora.

I was actually impressed with his post fight interview where he admitted to going cowboy style and wasn’t the right approach
Seems like he has learned something from his last loss and will build from there on

Now you don’t see many boxers coming out like that and being quite frankly honest about his misfortune

I agree. Admitting his mistakes and then visibly correcting them in the ring is a big step forward. Let's see what he can do with Keith Thurman as that is the next most likely scenario.

You are reading too much into the narrative, Bakhram was connecting with the jab and side steping to set up hooks and crosses, Tim was Tim when he is hurt he is all over the place and dont know what to do, Bakham would stiffen him again he is just a better overall fighter, they know it he is never mentioned by any in Tims camp

Thurman is well past it he was fed a total novice to build this fight in Aus, at this point in time Tim is too strong and too quick for Thurman, Keith's class got him home with Brock but he looked slow to me and every bit at the end of career.

'Spencer tried to fend Tszyu off, or perhaps the referee, with a few shots'.

FFS, I know Aussie Rules Football is insanely rough but I didn't know they did Aussie Rules
boxing! Is the referee allowed to join in the scrap if he thinks its all getting a bit half-hearted?

Oh! I am sorry about that. I haven’t watched the fight yet.
I’ve just seen highlights and clips of his knockout stoppage victory over Jarvis.

In any case, KeithThurman still won the fight by way of TKO though. If the dude could punch he probably could have gotten “One time” outta there.

As long as Thurman can still punch. Then he is a threat to all current 154 lbers.
