Their history is incompetence, corruption, and disgrace. Just because something is old doesn't mean it's worth preserving.

Lineage? They destroyed their own lineages with all their fake belts and stunts like demoting a champion so Tank Davis could fight a bum for a vacant belt.

For decades they've just done whatever promoters like King, Haymon, or Hearn told them to do. They are not just worthless, they are actively harmful to the public image of the sport. The WBA is one of the primary reasons why people think boxing is a joke and nobody can tell you who the real champion is in most divisions.

It’s a fair point. Chisora is on a better run than he was when he fought Fury and it’s also a mandatory tbf to Dubois. The IBF rankings and rules again have to be questioned. How can Chisora-Wallin be a final eliminator? That’s the bigger question for me.

Dubois, the gay looking man with a billy goat style, will use head butts and low blows if he is pressed by Chisora. But Chisora is old, overweight and in decline so if won't happen.

If some other random three letter organization existed instead of them, nothing would change. If it weren't a WBA belt all your favorites as a kid held it would've been some other belt. The WBA does nothing except add confusion and draw criticism to the sport. Everyone in the world agrees there are too many ridiculous belts but you don't actually want anything done about it because of nostalgia. That is, in the literal sense of the word, holding back the progress of the sport. Refusing a change for the better because you can't let go of an image of the WBA that died in the 1980s.

Abolish the WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO, IBO, and Ring tomorrow. The world would be a much, much better place.
