Wouldnt be surprised if they did way more than 45k from the UK alone. If Dubois/Parker had stayed on the card it probably would have done 300k+ in the UK. Obviously then you've got Russia, a country of 100+ million, and it was their guys in the main event. I'm sure it did fine.

What happens is the US figures keep coming out for these Saudi events and obviously they're gonna be pretty low because they arent primarily aimed at the US audience anyway. Then those figures get used to "prove" the event bombed.

They're not big stars though are they really. Plus Shakur was fighting some random dude who he was supposed to run over easily, then add in the inconvenient time compared to a US based PPV.

There's no source for this data, until I see a source I am not going to trust these numbers. And if there is a source, then we ask, is it a trusted source?

Btw, I don't care much for Turki, I think that short term his support of boxing is positive but long-term it may not be.

No, they're not, but one would think that putting Shakur and Virgil on the same PPV event would generate at least 100k American PPV buys. Maybe I was just expecting a little more support for the card from American fight fans..

Two slavs that avoided each other until one of them was a past his prime 40 year old? And people are surprised this didn't do well?

Disgusting...a fight card of this magnitude deserved AT LEAST a million buys. Anyhow, if this is true, it begs the question how the hell are the Saudis making any money from boxing (in addition to paying the huge fighter & promoter salaries) and for how much longer will this continue?
