And this stuff is just unconfirmed numbers with no source for just US buys, nevermind the rest of the world. The US isn't really the center of boxing anymore anyways, and the fight card was at a time that only worked for those of us with disposable income and time off during the day. As one of those who bought the card, I loved it from top to bottom except for Shakur. Pacing was way better, and I liked having the day for boxing, and then still having the night to spend with my woman.HisExcellency likes this.

As for the card itself, I also bought it and felt that I got MORE than my money's worth. Also, like you said, it's GREAT that they listened to the fans and stacked the card with competitive fights from top to bottom and reduced the time between fights.

I also hate the start time being on the East Coast. It's a bad time because a lot of folks are doing their Saturday weekend errands around then. I'd much prefer to wind down and enjoy a fight with some drinks and food later in the evening, than in the middle of the day when I know I need to go to places. It's like putting an anchor on yourself where you really don't want to miss it, but you got **** to do. So it doesn't surprise when the sales are terrible.
Though I don't think Turki and team really care about the sales. They're not in it for that, but the big picture. Putting eyes on Saudi Arabia as the new business capital of the world. Whether staging big events there, pulling in investors and to increase development projects. Or to simply increase tourism. Anything that can get more eyes on the country and make people remember that it exists and isn't such a bad place to go.

I tried to argue this with somebody on here, but most are too thick headed.
The format was bound to fail, the fight was way too early state side and both Beterbiev and Bivol are unknown to the casuals. Should have done the fights in Germany or Russia.
