No, only the sanctioning bodies can order mandatory rematches. Davis cheated in plain sight. So a no-contest is out of the equation.

Both the referee and the New York Athletic Commission was present when Tank broke the rules. They should have either deducted a point, DQd him or gave him a standing eight count.

Crawford knocked out Kavaliauskas. A knockdown is irrelevant to the outcome.
Joshua knocked out Pulev. A knockdown or back turn is irrelevant to the outcome.

But this fight? This was a robbery in 4 different ways:
      1. With the knockdown counted the cards would've been 115-112, 114-113, 114-113 UD win for Roach.
      2. Gervonta's corner got up on the apron during a round. That should be an instant RTD or DQ win for Roach.
      3. Gervonta's corner worked on his face during a round. That should be an instant DQ win for Roach.
      4. Even without the knockdown, DQ, or RTD Roach won the majority of the rounds. They robbed him on the cards.

You are responding to a guy who starts with “can we have an unbiased assessment?” and then proceeds to give irrelevant examples to support his guy.
Without the the KD, Roach still won the fight. The KD just makes this robbery even more egregious.

I wish they would have the forttude to give Roach the victory but I know they won't. The NYSAC is not going to overturn that verdict. At best, they may only fine Tank. At worst, they just may suspend him and that's it.

Gayweather's crackhead uncle got up on and into the ring during the match, it should've been a DQ win Judah.

They need to do the right thing and give Lamont his flowers but knowing corrupt Las Vegas will probably say no, sucks but it is what it is.

As soon as I read famicommander’s factual response, I know someone would show up with the usual toxic diatribe about Floyd. Well, here we are, just as we can count on the sun to rise from the East, we can also expect the usual chatter from the waste.

                    1. The ref had called timeout due to two fouls committed by Judah (a low blow followed by a rabbit punch), the round was not ongoing at the time Roger Mayweather entered the ring.

                    2. Zab's trainer also entered the ring during the timeout. He threw a punch at Roger for approaching Zab.

                    3. Roger Mayweather did not assist Floyd physically, which is why he was ejected rather than getting his fighter disqualified.

If the ref had called timeout for Davis his trainer being on the apron would not warrant a DQ. There was no timeout, he started the count and then broke it off. He still wouldn't be allowed to get his face wiped with a towel, though.

I had a feeling that might be the case regarding a rematch.
But NYAC can overturn the decision?
