But NYAC can overturn the decision?
Yes they can. However, it is highly unlikely that they will though because no matter what we may think of Davis' actions that night. The buck clearly stops with both the NYSAC and the referee.

Obviously, Gervonta was in some distress. He was attempting to get the referee's attention and he got it the best way he knew how and that was by kneeling on one knee and touching the canvas with his glove.

They allowed him to cheat in plain sight by not enforcing their own rules. The referee made a judgement call by cutting him some slack. I expect The NYSAC is going to stand by their referee's decision.

Remember that the referee has more discretion at their disposal than any other boxing official. So whatever choices he decides to make inside of that squared circle is considered law.

That is why there is no such thing as an impartial referee or judge because they are all human. They have their own distinct set of values, likes, dislikes, tastes and favorites just like everyone else.

Yeah I hope they do whats right for boxing Roach deserves the win, he has the contractual rematch as it stands being a draw so they need to make this right and give Roach the win.

with the knockdown i'd have it 116-111 or 115-112 at worst. no interest in a rematch, i want to see the NYSAC do the right thing. you take a knee...that's a point, nevermind running to the corner and sticking your head out of the ring. that's coward stuff

you take a knee, that's a point. you can't call your own time outs. some dude's hairstyle is not the reason to break precedents and question everything that has always been known in the sport.

Evidence is clear as day. Ref sees Tank take a knee and begins to count. Then he stops for no reason. It’s not the refs job to see why Tank took a knee and change it to a light warning. The second he voluntarily drops to one knee it’s a point.

Expect the worst and move on. Tank can let Roach stew and the one thing Roach doesnt need or wants is to sit on the shelf, like the infermo. Pick another huckleberry and leave Tank in the rear veiw.

Tank is where the money and prestige is, Roachs career takes a very big turn with an official win over Davis, Id be pushing for the win hard core if I were them.

You are right and I agree. What Tank did was illegal. However, my only point is how was he able to get away with it? He got it through the referee.

Since the referee gave him the permission and prior approval to bend the rules. Then, I don’t expect the NYSAC to overturn the verdict or discipline Gervonta.

It would mean they would have to admit culpability and incriminate themselves. They are going to side with their referee.
