The uk is boxing and have run it since Floyd retired tbh. Have to be real, America is just a side piece these days.

Current lineal world champions by country
          USA: 7 (3 male, 4 female)
          UK: 2 (both female)
Ireland: 2 (Kate Taylor in two different divisions)
          Japan: 1 (male)
          Ukraine: 1 (male)
          Mexico: 1 (male)
          Canada: 1 (male)
          Australia: 1 (male)
          Denmark: 1 (female)
          Germany: 1 (female)
Puerto Rico: 1 (female) [also a US territory]

Doesn't seem like the UK runs anything.

The UK definitely punches above its weight when it comes to carrying the sports popularity though, which is why I find the anti-British schtick among a lot of boxing fans to be weird, its like they want the sport to be even less popular and give up even more ground to MMA or something. Take away the UK market and you lose 2 of the 3 biggest stars of the last decade, most of the biggest crowds, probably the most visible and known current promoter, plus Usyk built his profile mainly the UK and nobody really cared about Wilder until he started attaching his name to Fury and AJ.

Delicious O-ring or whatever is making his pro debut? Awesome.

Probably because US fighters are too inactive to cover. Fighting once a year is not exactly something anyone would have interest in writing.

Probably because American fighters simply aren't active and very few of them actually take any risks.
