To me one big unknown is Benavidez stamina. At 168 he was an absolute dynamo, getting better as the fight would progress and steamrolling everyone in the second half of the fight. Against Gvozdyk at 175 he was out of gas after 6. Did he not train the same way because he does not need to lose as much weight? Does anyone know what happened? To me this will determine how the fight goes because Gvozdyk had no trouble landing on David in the second half but there was not much mustard on his punches. He would not want to give a free pass like that to a real puncher (Yes, I know that Gvozdyk used to be a good puncher before he retired).Last edited by BrankoB; 01-19-2025, 03:47 PM.Comment

Even at 168 Benny seemed to slow down in the later rounds

Just to clarify, I am not a Benavidez fan (nor am I a Morrell fan). I am just an interested observer who cannot wait for the fight.Comment
