He outweighed Gavril and Dirrell by 20+ lbs from the reports I saw. Those were the guys he won his titles against that you thought were the same size. It's pretty obvious if you look at them. That's why back size is a better indicator of size in the ring than height.

Show me those reports, I bet they don't exist. Check your eyes if you think he was 20lbs bigger than them in the ring. They are both 6'2 and muscular.

David Benavidez has achieved nothing much at 175 pounds, and David Morrel's 'Best feat of achievement, is winning the Regular WBA Super Middle Weight title. Therefore, this fight should not be rated as a World level fight with the 175 pound Division'.

I personally rate Edgar Berlanga vs Canelo Alvarez as an overall higher level fight 'Berlanga was undefeated, has more wins and knockouts on his resume than David Morrel. And we all know that Canelo Alvarez has a by far superior resume to David Benavidez. That is sound reasoning, to rate that particular fight as a higher level fight'.

I have seen many people criticising fights such as Anthony Joshua vs Daniel Dubois or the potential fight between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury.

And then we have certain folk in the boxing community pining over 'David Morrell vs David Benavidez. This is a solid fight, but? Let's not try and make out that it is some kind of monumental historically significant boxing event'.

To conclude: That is essentially the main point I was trying to make in this thread. David Benavidez moved up into the 175 pound Division, most likely 'Because he could no longer maintain his form while he is weight draining himself to compete in the lower weight divisions. Therefore is now having to train and compete closer to his natural weight, and not rely so heavily on being the big man on fight night'.

And thus-far in such a competitive environment, it is clear that David Benavidez skill for skill is not the calibre level of fighter 'That his hardcore fans try their upmost to claim'.

The victor of this fight, really in my opinion should not be on the verge of World Domination at 175 pounds 'The fighter who wins, would join the chasing pack behind the two top fighters in the Divisions Arthur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol' etc.

And yet, berlanga didn't want to fight Morrell jr, he refused to fight him even thought he was his mandatory (he is not along on this, mbilli was his mandatory too for two years and refused to fight twice) talking about resume, canelo has lost every time he has stepped up, he's being showered with gifts, Floyd and bivol are the only two loses on his record, but he should have the least two more, his resume is full of the berlangas and yildrims of this world, not impressed one bit, we all know why he chose edgar, he didn't want to fight benavidez nor David Morrell jr. So yes, you're wrong with your assessment.
I don't think the people are hostile with you because you are correct, I think they're hostile with you because you are so wrong that it seems to everyone you shouldn't be commenting about boxing, or the least on this subject. The ginger is a fraud that has blatantly and openly ducked benavidez, and I have been watching boxing for over 60 years and never has seen a champion do what canelo has done, berlanga is a domestic level fighter nothing more, he got his lottery ticket because canelo is afraid of facing real competition, that's all. Is clearly as water that you're ginger's fan, you're elevating berlanga to make the fraud look good. Be safe.
