These are the type of guys wilder fought through his whole career. There are steps down in competition that are still somewhat decent fights for Wilder - guys like Miller, Ruiz, Chisora, Wallin, Shyte, Furys cousin etc etc. This is a waste of time.

It's a bit funny that they obviously wanted a win and turned down semi-credible options, non-credible past their best fighters, up and coming guys who haven't been at his level, and wound up making a fight against the kind of opponent that a prospect might fight in their first 10 outings.

You have to wonder whether Harper is being paid to make Wilder look good. Why else would you stoop so low?

Harper was obviously brought in to get sparked out. Harper won't always just lay down however....he was brought in as opponent against undefeated German HW Christian Thun and fought a decent fight when he realized his opponent wasn't as good as expected. He won some rounds against Vianello too.
