I DON'T rule out a Morrell victory but give Benavidez the edge due to his superior fight resume and the aura and mentality he carries having been a legitimate world champion for several years now. However, if there's one fighter who can pull off the upset it's Morrell due to his size, hunger, power and elite amateur pedigree.

Is it wrong to say I'm looking forward to this fight MORE than Bivol vs. Beterbiev 2?

I was tempted to bet heavy on Morrell after watching their first face to face, where he looked more confident than Benavidez, who instead looked quite nervous.

But I'm really not sure after watching Morrell's last fight.

Morrell has the tools to pull off the upset but not the championship experience. We'll see how much he learned from the Hot Rod fight.

Nothing impressive about picking the winner of any boxing match and happened to be right.
What you're doing is mere paper rock scissors prediction. Winner or loser could either be A or B, no C, D, E...
So if you're right with your choice, so what? What's the big deal? A or B, it's mere 50/50.

To top it all off you hate Benavidez. You've been hating on the guy even before you saw their last fights.
Nothing impressive about picking based on emotion. Of course, you'll justify the pick by peppering it with flowery technicalities, etc.

I expect Benavidez to win. The experience is the deciding factor, I think. Neither guy looked good in their respective 175 debuts, so it's a toss up.

Having said that, I'm backing Morrell because I love rooting for the underdog, and for his work with children with autism (I have an autistic daughter). But I won't be sad if he loses or anything, as long as he goes out on his shield. Same to Benavidez. Just give us a good fight!

I always root for the underdog, which is clearly Morrell, but not in this case. I want to see Morrell go back to earth.
I can be wrong just like any, but it's not Benny who started the trash talk. It's Morell, but still, kudos to him not just talking cheap.
Unlike Jermall Charlo, for example, who started trashing DB, but when challenged he declined.

you feel that every fight is jjust a pick of 50/50? but in your next post you say you always root for underdogs. how can both those statements be true.

I thought they both looked average at their 175 debut with Morrell looking worse. Looking forward to the fight.

You can interpret it any way you like. Anything can happen in boxing. I always rooted for the underdog, but not in this case. What's the problem?
It's still picking 2 boxers. A or B. What is so complicated about that? It's not buying a lottery ticket where your chance of winning is basically 1 is to billion.
                      Hope that helps.
