Edwards just didn't have the power or the physical strength to do anything in there.. he was mentally broken after 2 rounds saying to his trainer that he didn't wanna be there. I think he felt the power and strength of yafai and realised it wasnt gonna be his night

But goes to show that his style is very susceptible to bad days, and how much of a detriment lack of power is. He needs to find that fire if he wants to continue.
Good post and without his legs , if he decides to not retire , he’ll be retrograded to gatekeeper status
That was his biggest asset , his mobility

Yafai didn't even break a sweat. Sunny was soaking wet by the end of things.

Bam took it out of him. Sunny got old over night.

I guess I can expect Yafai on the Amazon Prime Japan card next year against Teraji, I might actually get tickets for them if it is in Tokyo.

I thought Sunny's trainer did a good job with a fighter who wasn't all there. Gave him good advice after 2, and a solid gameplan with accurate advice when Sunny said he couldn't move. And it was short and not complicated.

There was a big power differential in there between the two - Yafai is a big flyweight who threw mean shots. Edward's own shots had next to little pop. Edwards had to respect the power and accuracy from Yafai and it forced him to fight defensively. His only game plan seemed to be looking to counter Yafai with a huge KO single shot but due to his lack of power that was never really going to materialise.

Sunny probably should have taken a good break after Rodriguez. Or at least after Curiel. Seems to have lot of wear and tear at only 28. He was never the strongest looking little fellow, but tonight he looked like the school martyr getting beaten up by a bully.

I am going to cut my balls.
I was driving and I am going against my guts just because I keep everyone else picking Edwards while my guts told me otherwise.

I am going to listen to k=no one from now on.

Most of these posts are about Edwards being bad, but I think we should also point out how focused and prepared Yafai was. Great, great performance. Was Edwards bad? Yes. But Yafai did what good fighters are supposed to do when they have a fighter in reverse- He dominated and finished him. He has earned a bigger, more lucrative fight.
