I like Tim, he takes on all comers like the old schools used to. He doesn't make excuses, he's respectful, humble in defeat and his fights are exciting. Having said that, he showed no real boxing skills tonight, I mean he landed a few good punches here and there but no bobbing nor weaving to slip punches. If he decides to step back in the ring, he's gonna need a new trainer to teach him the art of the sport. There was not much of a game plan tonight and at this weight, when fighting a taller fighter with a longer reach, you've got to be able to do more than just try and knock out your opponent.
Tim should learn from Barrera's career. MAB was able to change his style after losing twice to Jr Jones, the first fight by KO and the second by decision. MAB took some time off and became a boxer puncher after being just a come forward fighter. Having changed his style he came back and delivered some epic fights and became one of Mexico's greats.
Come on Tim, you've got the right attitude for the sport. I'm hoping you can make the right changes and give us a few more exciting winnable fights.
