It's ALWAYS shameful in any sport to get blown out like that if you are considered a top dog.

Tim is just not elite. Elite guy doesn`t get beaten like that, lol. Tim might still be a world class, but 154 is not a good division.

Reduced down to gatekeeper status. This is a good fight for Crawford

Having said that, he showed no real boxing skills tonight, I mean he landed a few good punches here and there but no bobbing nor weaving to slip punches. If he decides to step back in the ring, he's gonna need a new trainer to teach him the art of the sport. There was not much of a game plan tonight and at this weight, when fighting a taller fighter with a longer reach, you've got to be able to do more than just try and knock out your opponent.

Tim should learn from Barrera's career. MAB was able to change his style after losing twice to Jr Jones, the first fight by KO and the second by decision. MAB took some time off and became a boxer puncher after being just a come forward fighter. Having changed his style he came back and delivered some epic fights and became one of Mexico's greats.

Come on Tim, you've got the right attitude for the sport. I'm hoping you can make the right changes and give us a few more exciting winnable fights.
The thing is my friend is that Marco Antonio was a fundamentally solid boxer with a great jab and superior footwork who fell in love with his own power and became a slugger. He switched back after losing. But most people don't know his early history..He could always box as opposed to Tim.

You could see Tim saw no real threat and was just waiting to land a big one. He did hurt Mur with a couple shots, but Tim was so overconfident, it was like watching a cartoon or something. Then when he was hurt after the knockdown, the obvious look of disgust and he refused to be smart and was trying to get some payback while his legs were jelly. Crazy amateur hour.

Mur has a bunch of first round KOs. No idea if Tim knew anything about him. This and the Fundora fight have really exposed Tim as far as ring IQ.
Good points and spot on. After the fight, I read Algieri's fight breakdown and he was pretty much spot-on with his assessment:

"His doggedness, regardless, can hurt him. Against Fundora he struggled to switch up, even though he was at a disadvantage because of the blood in his eyes. That discipline, focus and mentality can hurt him if he falls behind and has to make adjustments on the fly."

Bakhram is a good fighter, but I think the fight could have had a much different result if Tszyu was more patient and less reckless. To your point, he did catch and hurt Murtazaliev but at that point Tim was too compromised.

He caught alot of clean punches and may never be the same after that. If he continues his career, I hope he can make adjustments and find success. He is entertaining and was always actively seeking the toughest opponents and biggest fights. We need more of that in boxing.

Everyone is talking about Tim on here. Personally I believed we had seen his ceiling already.
My praise is for Murtazalievand Main Events. That Beterbiev looking dude also learned that just behind the ear club shot as well. I for one will tune in to any fight he watches going forward because he is GREAT to watch!
