So when is the next PBC show? 6 months for $89.99?

NINETY dollars, brother. Mind boggling how anyone could be happy with that. But well-deserved if you thought it was a good idea to begin with.

        It’s right up there.

Bellew vs Cleverly rematch was also an atrocious ppv. Wasn’t Fury vs Chisora 3 also ppv?

Damn we really do get served up some serious rubbish these days. Who the hell pays for these cards?

Long time, Dan. Hope you’ve been well, my friend.

Yeah, there may have been worse; but this was just horrible. People really pay for the main event. If it’s a little weak, you hope the undercards make up for it. There was just nothing that justified a paid event here. From the moment the names were announced it was bad…and it was downhill from there.

The topic made me curious about the worst PPVs I could recall, here are some contenders:

              1) Spence/Garcia: Mikey didn't even try, just coasted tona decision loss. chief support was Benavidez vs J'Leon Love. Also had Nery/Arroyo and Arreola/Augustine.

              2) Crawford/Postol: Bud's first PPV. Awkward fight. Underdcard had Valdez/Rueda, Benavidez Jr/Santana and Zappavigna/Yang. Gvozdyk/Karpency was buried in the bottom of the card. I think Tommy dropped the Nail in this one.

              3) Canelo/Chavez Jr: I'm embarrassed I ordered this one. Undercard was stacked with rubbish. JoJo Diaz/Manny Avila, Mathysse/Taylor, Lemieux/Reyes.

This doesn't include UK PPVs since alot of those weren't PPVs here in the US (e.g. Fury/Klitschko).

If you’re watching this card on the old Friday Night Fights, it might be okay. But as a $90 PPV with two championship fights on offer, it’s a sh.itshow.

Plant/McCumby was the ONLY good fight. Not worth 90 goddamn dollars, but a blast! Streamed here. I blew my pocket change on a bad McCumby bet, but it’s all good. If there was ANY entertainment value from the main event, it was because of Berlanga. Canelo is old and slow and dull. He boxed gorgeously, but he’s done.

And that’s the thing: no one paid to see Plant-McCumby. Everyone paid to see Canelo, with the hope that the undercard fights would sweeten the deal. Garcia was signed to add some name recognition; and, as bad as his matchup with Lara was, there was still an element of curiosity. That turned out to be a major bust, so we were left with nothing to justify the expense. It was just a sh.it product.
