I only watched the Lara fight on split screen during UFC because I wanted to see Garcia get his ass kicked. Skipped Canelo's latest set-up.

Boxing cards are unwatchable to anyone but diehard fans. Outside of marquee events, I've abandoned the sport completely.

Shame, isn’t it? I actually felt sorry for Danny, despite the fact that he got the easiest payday imaginable. He looked sad in there — pathetic really…much like the sport itself.

What makes it worse is that next week's AJ/Dubois is $20 USD, whereas Canelo/Berlanga was $90. I'm not ecstatic over AJ/Dubois' undercard and Smith dropped out due to illness, but $20 is a pittance.

Oh wow, I obviously watched it another way lol.... That is just absurd.

Good for you. Lol Not everyone has it like that. The point is that $90 is far too much for the product offered. Both prince and pauper understand that concept.

You always kind of hope whether you buy it or not that the fights turn out better than expected, but PBC has a major dud with those fights.

The Garcia bout bummed me out. It ends not with a ****, but a whimper. Danny and his dad seemed just submissive and like they wanted to not only NOT be in the fight, but they wanted to just get away from the arena but the sport of boxing in general.

Garcia looks like his crisis or mental illness stems from financial obligations (kids) and probably a sense of having to hoist up his family (dad, mom, sisters) additionally.

He said in interviews that when he retires his FATHER would have a harder time walking away.

The combination of inactivity, not having his hunger anymore, and age all caught him up to him. I don’t think people would be upset in the slightest if he had gone out there and at least tried. It felt like a casual “let me see if I still got it. Maybe I can still—*WHAP!*

                  Oh!…Never mind. Yeah, I’m done.”

                  I wish him the best.

I loved how he basically had two major upsets in Khan and Matthysse and then underperformed in his biggest fights.

I honestly think he was just a company man and followed Haymon’s suggestions to a tee.

The highly unnecessary Rod Salka fight and long layoffs were also a big knock on him.
I'll never understand how he didn't fight mayweather next after beating matthysse on the mayweather/Canelo undercard

This was a TREMENDOUS ppv. Absolutely incredible! The likes of which you have never seen. We really have the best people running our PPVs. Incredible people. The best people. We have Al Haymon handling our PPVs. Nobody else could do anything like this. Its unbelievable. Other people have tried it, and they were total disasters. Failures on every level. Complete catastrophies. But not ours. Ours was just incredible. The best you've ever seen. We made PPV great again!!!

                    Thanks Al Haymon!!!

What don’t you understand? Danny didn’t move up to 147 for another two years after Matthysse. More importantly, Mayweather fought whomever he wanted. Why would he have chosen Garcia?
