I don't know what's so unusual about what Stanionis said. He's not even claiming he was ducked. He simply said he was approached by Team Ennis years ago. Is that far-fetched given the number of fights Ennis have on his record? At 23 Boots was already on his 25th fight. How do you secure fights anyways by just sitting around? Vergil was only at his 16th at the same age. Seems some people just prefer to play dumb, instead of seeing things in an objective manner.

Real question for the media to ask Ennis' team is how the hell were you able to secure such number fights full of nobodies? (Obviously designed to pad his undefeated record.) Second question would be who else did you approach at least in your 26th fight? Any welter guy casuals recognize like non-prime Josesito, Guerrero, Berto, Alexander, Mosley, Khan, Brook, Victor Ortiz, Collazo, Kavaliauskas, or how about Cobbs, Butaev, Samuel Vargas, etc.? Go ask them. They can't lie because it can be easily confirmed.

Right. All Stanionis was saying is he was approached and didn't turn them down dispelling the myth that Ennis is being avoided. And that's exactly what his interviewer was trying to find out in the midst of this "he's being avoided" narrative. Being avoided can't simply mean in the present day. You have to go as far back as his 20th, 25th, 30th fights. And looking at his record it indicates that he and his team were the ones who avoided tough competition.

I realize I hurt your feelings by questioning “your truth” but no need for you to get upset.

While you continue to disparage Boots, I would remind you the guy is 27 years old and the hottest commodity at WW.
Guess where Bud was at 27? At 135 building his profile. Precisely what Boots is doing.

Facts, but now what? Who is he going to fight?

Good question; However, even in his wildest dreams he could have never fancied a fight against one Terence “Bud” Crawford. Let him unify with Mario Barrios. Since they are both PBC fighters.

Barrios vs. Stanionis makes the most sense! However it looks like Barrios vs. Pacquiao! SMH!

That’s right. Perhaps, Stanionis could fight the winner. Well he should look on the bright side. At least now he is a title belt holder. E-mail or no.

I just detest that phrase “E-mail champion”. As if it’s the mandatory challenger’s fault that the champion refuses to challenge him.

What do the sanctioning bodies are supposed to do in such situations? The no 1 and no 2 challengers have already fought in order to determine who is the mandatory challenger.

Exactly! It's not their fault! They fought to get into position to fight the Champ, and the Champ decided NOT to fight them! That being said, Boots should drop that IBF belt, rather than fight Karen...AGAIN!!!
