So what does Stanionis do now? They haven't accepted the offers from MatchRoom to fight Boots. Barrios seems to be headed for a fight with Pacquiao (Shameful). Norman already has a fight! Lastly, no one knows the contenders on the WBA list of WWs! I don't know why PBC won't make Barrios vs. Stanionis, but if I'm Stanionis, I'm looking to leave PBC, or leave 147!

If it ain't Boots, or Barrios it doesn't make sense for him. I think he beats Barrios but not Boots.

Stanionis just signed a PBC extension, so he's definitely not going anywhere. The fact that he signed an extension at all is bewildering. Just like Ennis, moving up to 154lb is not a good idea for Stanionis. Stani will get lost in the shuffle and he'll be worth less without a title. These fighters (and their teams) have gone insane with their purse demands.

You have to wonder why Stanionis was never offered a fight from Ennis camp when Boots was signed to Showtime. According to Stan on Youtube, Ennis team actually approached him five years ago around his 10th fight and he said yes, but they never came back. Fast forward he never received any offer from the same camp after his Butaev fight. He was available for 8 months before Ortiz's petition came, which he accepted. Meanwhile, Ennnis and his fans were chanting this fake narrative/mantra that he's being avoided.

I feel sorry for Stanionis because how do you put food on the table with 2 fights in 2 years. Hope he gets a stipend to get by on.

Fast forward to present day: Ennis has a new promotional team, has been upgraded to full titlist, and wants to fight Stanionis. You know what hasn't changed? Stanionis is STILL associated with PBC, even-though they're partly to blame for his inactivity in the first place. Now Stani is overestimating his value, and that's why the Ennis/Stanionis probably won't happen.

Can't blame Stanionis for accepting PBC's offer. It's the only one on the table. What do you expect? He's not some heavily-hyped guy with 33 fights with names of insignificant note, while Stan got only 16 fights and he's already launched into joining the big boys club. Ennis wouldn't even take Josesito Lopez for his 25th fight, a guy who fought big names.
