Tris nailed this one, including his poignant observation that when Haymon did the same thing, he was picketed, but this international, not even an American, is a savior. Institutional racism at it's core, a retroactive black eye on boxing no doubt about it.
lol if he woulda thrown money at all these promoters like turkey does it'd been the same thing as what is happening now. they wanted to sink all the promotions but themselves allegedly, and got push back. wish ppl weren't so quick to grasp at racism. it's goofy and usually not the case. selfishness is the reason way more than racism in the world. and 9/10 ppl would rather be around any American race than someone with tablecloths on their heads . those ppl truly are a hated bunch here In America. stop with pitiful race card. our ears are now Numb to it, it gets used so much. ppl care about money and power. and that is the cause

          • To the guys that only apply rules if it makes them more money.
          • To the promoter and managers that imprison fighters and punishes them for fighting on any network that doesn't personally benefit them.
          • To the few guys that make money hiring their opponents and cans they can beat... and their groupies that defend that BS.
          • To the youtube guy that couldn't make it as a cooking channel, that's suddenly a self appointed boxing expert without ever leaving the basement.
          • To the corrupt judges that always favor the money making, in-house fighter.
          • To the hack commentators that dishonestly cheer lead for the in-house fighters.
          • To the best known drug cheat on earth and self appointed nutritional expert.
          • To the fighters that pop dirty and claim they ate pig balls or some other gross shyt.

If I'm missing someone please feel free to add them to the list of ..."nice try, but go **** yourself!"
ummm yes yes yes yes yes....

Someone once said “boxing fans are among the dumbest people on the planet” and the older I get the more I believe it. Here’s a guy ending the “across the street” nonsense we’ve been forced to endure the past 16 years in this sport and all fans wanna do is trash him, trash where he’s from, trash his private life, all because he’s forcing people to fight. Go figure…

What happens when the Kingdom gets bored with boxing, or finds a better toy to be a front? Sport better prepare for that day. It’s coming. And the fighters will get screwed in the end

This is the big problem with the Saudi prince. He way over pays the fighters. he over pays them so much he looses money and he doesnt care.... but that is a problem because all other promoters in there NEED to profit, you cant lose money every event or youre out of business. so they have no way to compete with the prince's offers, they cant lose money like he can, now fighters see these astronomical pay days and they will all just wait around or only fight bums for stay busy fight.. but the prince cant promote EVERY event, so that is what we get, the fights he wants to see get made and then everyone else is waiting around for their turn

There's no single one size fits all solution in this sport. Believing so is a waste of mental energy. How can you even measure the insatiable greed of people who want infinite amount of money? Boxing will stay the same forever. It's a business, not a sport. Trying to make it to something it is not is silly. Teo Lopez for example is waiting for the Turki offer and discarded the fight TR scheduled for him. How can anyone have any control over people's greed?
