Tris nailed this one, including his poignant observation that when Haymon did the same thing, he was picketed, but this international, not even an American, is a savior. Institutional racism at it's core, a retroactive black eye on boxing no doubt about it.
that was a very astute observation I thought as well. When Haymon injected money into the sport ans tried to get television deals ans bring it back to the mainstream in America, the response by promoters and oddly even fans was to put him through the wringer. But when a Saudi does it, those same people are applauding it. That really is so ultra revealing. It shows you the massive contempt so many have for a foundational black American being the driving force in boxing in this new global era of race based ultranationalism. Nationality in itself just doesn’t matter, race does. As I’ve said before, in America, they have begun not to care where you were born, only your race matters.

Incorrect. Riyadh Season IS another promotional outfit, one that is tied to Dazn, one run by someone who has already feuded with boxers, and vowed not to work with them because they won’t bow down and kiss his feet. And you lot are forgetting, Haymon worked with Hearn in the early days of pbc, there were matchroom fighters fighting on pbc cards when pbc was on free tv. it was only when Hearn tried to move matchroom to the usa and lure pbc fighters to dazn did Haymon realise what hearn wanted to do to him. Pbc has worked with golden boy, matchroom, and ESPN/top rank since. You guys who are anti Haymon just conveniently forget that and and clearly making the case that the article implied regarding Haymon. A Saudi is more acceptable than a foundational black American for elements in the usa and the U.K. that are given to race based nationalism

Here's a possible solution, use that a - hole Jake Paul's popular platform with the young kids as the new fight league, funded by his excellent Turkiness, then invite all the boxing promoters to participate together under that one roof.

Turki gets a decent return on his investment and their main goal of putting their country in a positive light and we the boxing fans finally get to see all the fights that we wanted to see get made.

Whatever the perception of the Saudi motivations may be, the fundamental and overriding reason is sportswashing of the regime's image in the West.
            That's all it is.

So why can Canelo fight Mungia and Berlanga 2 DAZN fighters, but Tank can't fight Shakur, now a DAZN (matchroom) fighter.

Didn't Al Hayman want to make a bunch of crappy fights on PPV?(Thurman PPV vs Barrios and King Kong Ortiz PPV) Vs
great match ups like Fury vs Usyk and Beterbiev vs Bivol on PPV. That's the reason they crtitized Haymon and are praising Turki.

Look at how long it took for Spence vs Crawford to happend due to Haymons advice.

Tell me a match of the level of Fury vs Usyk and Beterbiev vs Bivol Haymon has done post Mayweather era?

The entire point of the article is obvious. This is a long, thinly veiled hit job from the crooks in-charge that want you to believe they care about anything but control and money.
                • To the guys that create belts just to raise more sanctioning fees.
                • To the guys that only apply rules if it makes them more money.
                • To the promoter and managers that imprison fighters and punishes them for fighting on any network that doesn't personally benefit them.
                • To the few guys that make money hiring their opponents and cans they can beat... and their groupies that defend that BS.
                • To the youtube guy that couldn't make it as a cooking channel, that's suddenly a self appointed boxing expert without ever leaving the basement.
                • To the corrupt judges that always favor the money making, in-house fighter.
                • To the hack commentators that dishonestly cheer lead for the in-house fighters.
                • To the best known drug cheat on earth and self appointed nutritional expert.
                • To the fighters that pop dirty and claim they ate pig balls or some other gross shyt.

If I'm missing someone please feel free to add them to the list of ..."nice try, but go **** yourself!"

If Haymon had created PBC as a fight league and showered all the promoters big and small with that wall street, investment firm money, he most likely would have succeeded with whatever his original plans were for that said entity.

Haymon was on high off of the massive, financial success of Mayweather vs Pacquiao, he thought he could replicate those numbers with Mayweather alone but failed, epicly.

Stop whining, nobody is taking away the Berlangas, Gotti trilogys and a hole Jake Paul vs a 60 year old. Turki just isn't going to pay for them!
