He wants Canelo if the money is right. Don't know what's so impressive about that. It's like average Joe Schmoe saying I'll fight King Kong if you pay me $1 million. He clearly is effectively retired.

Bud only wants Canelo because he's at the tail end of his career, he's ready to hang em up, this is the most money that he can make by far, and he believes that he can beat Canelo.

Turki gotta make this fight happen!!!!

He is 37 and likely has 1 or 2 fights left. He has no interest in sticking around at 154 waiting years to try unifying. He tried to fight Tszyu in his fight at 154 and Tszyu opted to fight a washed up Thurman instead. Took years to unify 147 with all of PBC's ****** games. Not dealing with that again.

Lol black, white, Brown has nothing to do with it.

Canelo is the A side in these money fights. Bud can’t draw flies to **** but realizes time is running out and people don’t give AF about him. He’s a great fighter but his resume means he will be quickly forgotten outside of the hardcore fans on NSB. No notable moments.

Let’s be real here though. Crawford doesn’t care if he can win or lose a Canelo fight. He knows that 0 doesn’t mean much when he has the weakest resume of any top P4P fighter I can remember.

Reality is hitting him. It wasn’t Arum and Top Rank holding him back, it was his lack of activity, ambition, and charisma that held him back.

Being Undisputed in three weight classes is a much bigger deal in terms of legacy and accomplishment, in my opinion, than beating Canelo . Not that I think that Crawford would beat Canelo. I just don't see it. Crawford would be wise to forget a Canelo fight. Canelo isn't interested , and now that him and Turki are bickering like a couple of biatches on social media , it's even less likely. Time is something that Crawford is running out of.

If he was Australian with his accomplishments he would be way more popular and sell better in Australia than Tszyu and Kambosos combined headlining soldout Arenas at Melbourne and Sydney and whatever, and will be dignified as the best Australian boxer ever. If he was born in the UK with same accomplishments, I'd assume that he would be a Wembley staple too.

If he was Japanese (obviously not at his size but with similar accomplishment at a lighter weight divisions) he'd be what Inoue is prior to Inoue becoming Inoue in Japan. Inoue is by no means an exciting personality in terms of social media and his interviews are rather bland to say it nicely, but he has the whole country following him. Ioka who is even more boring than Inoue and Crawford personality and fight style wise and not undefeated still had an annual NYE TV fight card that was aired in the whole country on national TV channel.
Trinidad and Cotto were big stars in the U.S. despite being quiet guys , Trinidad didn't even speak English and people loved him in the U.S. They saw him and Cotto on Showtime and HBO . @OldschoolG mentioned the lack of those outlets hurting Crawford. I agree. It's hurt boxing in general.

Trinidad and Cotto were no bigger than Crawford is now. Only true boxing fans know the top fighters. Casuals do not. I watched plenty of PPV fights where the non boxing fan had no idea who Trinidad or Cotto were. It's like that now. Non boxing fans don't know who Crawford is. Only a select few become household names - like a Tyson, Holyfield, Oscar De La Hoya, or a Floyd.

Two of boxing's biggest stars, Canelo and Tank, are barely known.

TBH, times are a changing. You have more channels than ever before. This means that attentions are split more than ever. And, you no longer have partially free mainstream talent development platforms like HBO or SHOW. ESPN is struggling and just about everything else is now exclusively on PPV. Back in the day boxing platforms did like wrestling tv shows did. They used their regular TV programming to generate buzz and interests to purchase PPVs. That no longer happens. Greed is ruining the sport.

And then there is this new short attention span generation..... I'll leave that alone for another day...

If he doesn't have the stomach to unify the 154 pound division, he needs to hang them up.
I can't remember the last time a P4P fighter, for months, was accused of "pushing for a fight he doesn't deserve".

I beg to differ. People take the mickey out of Buds resume still. If bud can boast a win that's better than any single win on your resume, it's what all fighters strive for, to the point fighters and their fans over rate certain/some wins if they can. That's how important it is.
So even if your resume might have more depth than buds, if bud has a better single win then you have, he can at least claim he'd beat everyone on your resume, and you supposedly having more depth won't count for much; rather than padding out resume!

It's TC's way of saying, "I don't want it." No wonder Canelo is so angry at him and Turki.
He's the one involved and neither TC nor Turki is talking directly to him about the fight.
Which make sense. If TC wants it, then talk to Canelo about it, not the media.
