Chisora still has the heart to fight but has been getting progressively worse fight by fight - the washington fight was not a good look, he lost that fight comfortably but was gifted the win as a fan favourite.

That said, as bad as Chisora is he still has a very good chance to beat Joyce who for some reason is always open for an overhand right (Chisora's money shot). Stiverne, Hammer, Ali, Parker, Takam all managed to land that shot repeatedly with consummate ease whenever Joyce's back was against the ropes... So really its a question of whether Joyce's chin can stand up to the power of Chisora's best shot, otherwise Chisora will no doubt get progressively broken down and stopped.

I enjoyed this piece, very good write-up. I'm an American but I've been a big Del Boy fan since he caused a ruckus in the lead up to the Klitschko fight. It's not normally my preference but I always loved his schtick and bravado: the mayhem, the gunslinger Union Jack bandana covering his face and the fact he always tried to bring violence in his fights.

I remember having to travel for work and watching the first Whyte fight on my phone in the middle of the night outside on a bench. I always felt like he was robbed in that one.

I have all kinds of Chisora fan gear: hats, shirts and hoodies. Probably my favorite fighter in 40+ years as fan (right up there with Gatti). As much as I'm a fan, it becomes more and more difficult to watch him carry on in his career after all the wars and beatdowns. It's his choice but I really wish this is the last time "War" is declared for Derek in the ring.

What a resume Chisora has. He is no Hall of Famer, but if there was a special wing for the journeyman who has fought almost everyone or nearly done it all, Mr. Chisora would be escorted in without one down vote.

In boxing, there's two ways to "fight everybody"

          1. Be the permanent A-side (i.e. Canelo, Floyd) and pick & choose when & where to fight guys with names, often past or before their primes.

          2. Be a "beatable" challenger, somebody who has a name but isn't a real threat to elite talents.

Sadly, Del Boy is more 2 than 1

The Father Time alarm clock rang several years ago on Chisora. Yes, he’s an excellent journeyman. Times up though. People should be concerned about his speech which has been showing signs he should be concerned with. Joyce isn’t any better. No matter what happens, times up for both Chisora and Joyce. This fight makes no sense.

Chisora is probably one the toughest guys of his era. The guy would fight anyone and deserves respect for that and has made himself a very comfortable life from it financially. I mean not many guys with 13 losses on there record are making a million pound plus a fight.. because the guy knew how to generate attention for his fights with his antics. but in saying that it not great seeing him getting so much damage from these last few fights he's had. I know he wants to get to 50 fights as a pro but if he looses badly to Joyce on Saturday he should call it a day

If we're being honest Chisora should of retired after he got ironed out by Whyte in there second fight. But aslong as these promoters keep offering him money he's gonna get in there. But your right if you look at chisora speaking from 6-7 years ago to now the decline is evident. But wouldn't be shocked If Joyce is shot after them two bad losses and even if he beats chisora he's still gonna end probably getting chinned again when he steps up and if Chisora chins him then he's done

Think chisora knocks him out early, Joyce has always been slow but my god that last fight he had, was like an echidna crawling round

I don't believe that (about Joyce being shot). Parker went down easy against Zhang when he got tapped. Zhang just has huge power and Joyce is the easiest guy in the world to hit in the face

Joshua was "shot" when he lost to Ruiz. People just want to end everyone's career as soon as they lose these days.
