I think Ennis is a good fighter but gets hit too much for my taste, and flush in the face. One of theses days he is going to fight someone who can punch (unless management already know this and keeps putting him in there with guys without a one KO punch) and then we will find out.

So I guess we are going to be spending the next 3 years watching Boots and Hearn beg Al Haymon for PBC fighters from 147-168. EARN WITH HEARN! My Gawd!!!MulaKO likes this.

Plus I think once he starts to fight the boys at 154 , Boots won’t be as explosive as his fans want him to beLight_Speed likes this.

Another exposed hype job.
Apparently, he can do everything except avoid the same punch over and over. Poor ring IQ. Bud doesn't even get hit that much when he's processing.
Then he makes the amateur mistake of pushing for the knockout against a guy who was already stopped when he was younger and fresher by Kavaliauskas and the guy he claims is ducking him. A stoppage from a doctor paid by Hearn at that.

Plus, as the writer mentioned a few times - he was likely intent on putting on a show for his home town crowd - not gonna be a successful show if he fights like Shakur - successful as in they'd come back for his next fight.

Otherwise spending millions on two undedicated fighters, one a serial drug cheat, Jarrell Miller, and Andy Ruiz, and two fighters who actually are retired Leo Santa Cruz (35) and Abner Mares (38) which is a complete waste of money given neither has fought in two years and neither is going anywhere at this late stage of their careers.
I get the fact that some genius told Turkie that having Mexican fighters Ruiz, Mares, and Leo would help bring excitement as compared to the total lack of atmosphere in Saudi, and also help PPV numbers, but really, does Turkie really care about PPV numbers when the real game plan is white washing the Saudi horrific human right record and disregard for women through sports?
What about Munguia v Morrell or Zhang v Kabayel or Ruiz v Kabayel, those two fights alone are far more sensible than Miller, Leo, or Abner, three fighters who make no sense on the card.
If that suggestion doesn’t suit your fancy and you want to make a splash, why not break the Guinness World Record have have 8 world championship fights on the card with at least 1 female fight since the event is not in Saudi?
Turkie is in desperate need of someone advising him with creativity not named Eddie Hearn or Frank Warren.
