People actually thought Shawn and Errol could beat Bud. I think the LDBC influenced a lot of casual fans that rather hear about a fighter than to look into things themselves. I can't lie though, when those odds came out for Spence vs Bud I was shocked at how many people were in the know.

If Turkie really wants to spend ridiculously on fights, as he has, then he should be at the forefront doing all possible to make Canelo v Benevidez and Crawford v Boots.

Otherwise spending millions on two undedicated fighters, one a serial drug cheat, Jarrell Miller, and Andy Ruiz, and two fighters who actually are retired Leo Santa Cruz (35) and Abner Mares (38) which is a complete waste of money given neither has fought in two years and neither is going anywhere at this late stage of their careers.

I get the fact that some genius told Turkie that having Mexican fighters Ruiz, Mares, and Leo would help bring excitement as compared to the total lack of atmosphere in Saudi, and also help PPV numbers, but really, does Turkie really care about PPV numbers when the real game plan is white washing the Saudi horrific human right record and disregard for women through sports?

What about Munguia v Morrell or Zhang v Kabayel or Ruiz v Kabayel, those two fights alone are far more sensible than Miller, Leo, or Abner, three fighters who make no sense on the card.

If that suggestion doesn’t suit your fancy and you want to make a splash, why not break the Guinness World Record have have 8 world championship fights on the card with at least 1 female fight since the event is not in Saudi?

I wholeheartedly agree that Turki should try and allocate his resources more intelligently. Miller vs. Ruiz is a potentially entertaining match-up, but there has to be more meaningful options than that. However, who knows if Ruiz would even accept a Kabayel fight coming off inactivity? Munguia/Morrell also sounds good, but nothing about Munguia's history makes me think that his team would accept that. Munguia will supposedly be facing Bazinyan next.

Jaron Ennis is good and I'm not taking anything away from his accomplishments thus far, but he hasn't faced anyone yet like Budd or remotly close to the talent, he's flashy, quick young and powerful however I have yet to see him get touched and his response when being touched affectively so we need to see him in a real fight before saying how great he is, we know he's good though!

The problem is that Mr Turkey and Eddie Hearn don't have a clue what they're doing in "Murica. They think that by putting all these cards on one fight that it's a winner but quite the opposite is going to happen. The fights need to be completely separate from one another. The Bud vs Madri-whomever he is is not a PPV at all. Tim Tyszu vs Virgil Ortiz should've never been considered for this card because that is a super duper non-PPV event that would draw two entirely different fanbases and every dollar should've been maximized to the fullest because the winner of that fight could've quite possibly been the next PPV star. Jared Anderson should not be fighting way down at the start of fight night when only 25% of the crowd will be in there. He is the only American HW hope that we have left and he should be featured on ESPN prime time. Same with David Morrell who is also being groomed to be a PPV star. He needs to be featured as the co main to Tank vs whoever or Spence vs Bud II. Don't even get me started with Pitbull. Putting all these fighters on one card will not increase Dazn subscriptions or the PPV buy by not even one percentile. If it were Bud vs Madri-bum with a sorry undercard it's only going to do 15k. It's not going to be much more even with the other fights. But at least the Turkman is giving Haymon's fighters a good summer payday. Thanks Turkey da Smurkey!

Yeah I can see how yo can make that argument. Canelo has been fighting for a very long time. And has been fighting more often and higher level of opposition in the past 5 years than Crawford.
