Turkie got money to burn but like Roger said, he don't know shi.t about boxing. You can clearly see that by him picking these fights. If he's going to throw money around, there are a lot of incredible fights like you mentioned that can be made. Crawford vs Madrimov, I don't even know where that came from. Such as weird match up except you are looking at Crawford just getting a title at 154. If Boots doesn't bring much to the table like Bud noted then I don't see what Madrimov is bringing that is superior so yes Turkie is just picking these matchups without any logic it seems.

Agree. Turkie sounds to more like a fan with little boxing knowledge. Like I said, some of the August 3rd fights make no sense whatsoever. Hearn and Warren are just picking his pockets. If Turkie really wants to spend ridiculously on fights, as he has, then he should be at the forefront doing all possible to make Canelo v Benevidez and Crawford v Boots.

Otherwise spending millions on two undedicated fighters, one a serial drug cheat, Jarrell Miller, and Andy Ruiz, and two fighters who actually are retired Leo Santa Cruz (35) and Abner Mares (38) which is a complete waste of money given neither has fought in two years and neither is going anywhere at this late stage of their careers.

I get the fact that some genius told Turkie that having Mexican fighters Ruiz, Mares, and Leo would help bring excitement as compared to the total lack of atmosphere in Saudi, and also help PPV numbers, but really, does Turkie really care about PPV numbers when the real game plan is white washing the Saudi horrific human right record and disregard for women through sports?

What about Munguia v Morrell or Zhang v Kabayel or Ruiz v Kabayel, those two fights alone are far more sensible than Miller, Leo, or Abner, three fighters who make no sense on the card.

If that suggestion doesn’t suit your fancy and you want to make a splash, why not break the Guinness World Record have have 8 world championship fights on the card with at least 1 female fight since the event is not in Saudi?

Turkie is in desperate need of someone advising him with creativity not named Eddie Hearn or Frank Warren.

He's a casual. Crawford vs Canelo should not be a priority over these matchups to any legit boxing fan.

FYI, Canelo will fight Berlanga next which is why Hearn signed him. At this late stage of his career, Bud is risky and a loss to Bud would raise many questions, notwithstanding his use of PED’s where the poor beef got blamed. Then fighting Charlo, Berlanga, Ryder and avoiding Benevidez and Morrell like the plague raises questions about being an ATG. Add to that the gifts he was given in the GGG 1 fight, and possibly GGG 2. Canelo’s boxing career is in a steep decline, which is why he’s hand picking his opponents now.

Canelo also got a much needed reality check after fighting Bivol at Lt. Heavy, Bivol agreed to a rematch at 168 for all of Canelo’s belts, and Canelo uttered the famous words…”No Mas”
