Shakur will never headline a PPV
    I wouldn’t be so sure.

Loma has said he can step aside and fight the winner of the fight. I doubt Ellerbe would be excited to work with Arum.
      Ellerbe got fired bro...

He's constantly booed in his own city. Videos of every one of his fights with LINES of fans fleeing by the ninth round. His own fans won't stay for the whole fights but casuals are going to pay $80 to watch him?

Sure the Valdez and Herring fights were entertaining. But those were the outliers, not the DLS fight. He fought DLS the same way he fought Nakathalia. The same way he fights ANYONE with a little power.

Bud, like Fishnets, Floyd, Cotto and Manny, had his biggest commercial success away from TR. Shakur see this.

Had TR matched him as they should’ve, I believe he stays and takes that deal.
It is uncommon for a promoter to get every single fight they ask for....because a match-up takes two to tango. That's why promoters usually give fighters multiple options. Promoters can guarantee purses, but not specific match-ups.

I don't think it's a bad idea to explore free agency....but it IS a bad idea to trash-talk your promoter on the way out. Boxers need to get off social media and start creating diaries.

That is kind of my point.

He should be consistently matched with the top tier guys like Valdez and Herring. He will make exciting fights.

You are right, he fights the high risk, low reward guys in a way that he insures victory, regardless of the lack of action. He needs to fix that for sure.

True. Not every fight. Just the fights that give him the best chance to look good.

I said earlier if you switched Davis and his opponents, we’d have had two exciting fights instead of the garbage and the boring things we got.

              Fair point.

Artem's previous fight a lot of us thought he beat or drew against Frank Martin. So he was given the opponent that Tanks recent opponent struggled with. That right there is an opportunity to make a statement. He failed that IMO.

Shakur will be held 100% responsible for choosing to face Artem, but I wonder what were the other options TR gave him. Teofimo was presented with Kenny Sims, Raymond Muratalla, Elvis Rodriguez...and he chose Steve Claggett.

Floyd only developed "fans" in the sense he was known for, after the De La Hoya fight. Megan Markle is the most unlikable individual one could ever imagine... yet through social media this grifter is allowed to try and try away... If she can not get lynched at the stake? along with her Howdy doody grifter husband? there is hope for Shakur to self promote a following lol.

Shakur has been complaining about same.

even if he is only given poor choices of opponents, he should handle them more decisively.
