Wilder fought almost exclusively pbc guys and with a guy like Malik Scott taking an obvious dive, you have to question the legitimacy of some of his other fights where he looked devastating against bums.

Only Zhang, who ate those right hands for breakfast.

The French challenger had an iron chin and was only stopped on his feet while he was taking a ton of punches.

Need a third option. Wilder has above average power but maybe not quite elite ATG power. It's difficult to say because the best opponent he knocked out was Luis Ortiz who was good, but not Great. Wilder lost to the 3 best fighters (on paper) that he ever faced - Fury, Zhang, Parker. So did he ever KO anyone in even the Top 5? Because of that it's difficult to say Wilder's power was elite ATG, he just hasn't KO'd the names to back the claim. I mean Joe Joyce KO'd Parker less than 2 years ago, whereas Wilder never came close to even dropping him.

I think if he fights guys his own size, he would look like he’d have elite power. I think P4P, he was a very powerful puncher.

Problem is most fans ignore the weight difference just because they are told to ignore it.

Same people go batsh/t crazy over a guy coming in 1-2lbs over the weight limit in any weight class under HW. But at HW all that size matters stuff goes out the window.

IMO, size matters for power, in every weight class. For Wilder to KD Fury multiple times, and for Zhang to say he definitely felt Wilder’s power even on blocked punches, and then for fans to say his power is overrated…I mean that says it all. You have damn near 300lb pro boxers saying Wilder, a 215lb fighter, hits hard. And then you have fans saying he doesn’t hit that hard. That says it all about the situation.

No time for speculation, guys. Just let all top 5 guys in HW hit you in the head once, then let Wilder do the same.

After that, log in here (if you can still remember your password) and tell us how hard can Wilder punch.

Would any boxer want to get hit by his other punches that are not the right hand?

It was elite and only overrated now that he's a washed up 38yr old. Get on with your life and move on. Every fighter eventually becomes a shell of themselves and Wilder is exactly that. You can't go back in time now and start picking him a part because of his recent horrid losses. Anyone that doesn't hate on him, knows that it's simply not the Wilder we all knew anymore.
