If Hatton and Tim Bradley are entering The Hall, what could be the justification for keeping Wilder out?

Bradley and Hatton were two-weight world champs who were ranked as high as 3rd in P4P lists. Bradley fought a competitive trilogy with one controversial win against Pacquaio (ATG), and beat a raft of champs and ex-champs like JMM (HoF), Brandon Rios, Lamont Peterson, Kendall Holt, Junior Witter, Devon Alexander, Casayamor and a bunch of others.

Hatton beat one of the best light-welterweights of this generation in Kostya Tszyu for the lineal championship, and also beat champs Carlos Maussa, Luis Collazo, Juan Urango and a great but faded borderline HoF in Jose Luis Castillo, as well as other solid victories against Malignaggi and Vince Phillips.

Now despite their vastly superior records, and being lineal champions, Bradley waited 8 years for induction and Hatton almost 12 years. Yet Wilder, with just two wins against top-10 opponents and arguably being no higher than 4th ranked HW in this era is supposed to be easily HoF? LMAO

You are kidding, right? If Wilder makes into the HOF it will lay down a blueprint of how to build a flattered legacy based solely on knocking out gatekeepers and ducking of all risky opponents. If Fury wasn't out of shape no way that Wilder would have fought him, even then it was a huge step up for him and eventually it bursted his carefully created and protected bubble.

If he'd have fought Zhang, Parker, Whyte, Joyce. Povetkin or any other HW during those years he would have been soundly beaten.
I do think he's the 4th best heavyweight on accomplishments. But if he had fought that level of fighter when he became champion then he wouldn't have been champion very long and wouldn't be 4th.

The match making for Wilder was incredible. It took them 40 fights to make a mistake - with an obvious cherry pick of a diminished/ruined ex champion to finally put a decent name on the resume.

He shouldn't get in the HoF but I think it will happen. He'll end up on a weak ballot and he'll sneak through. It's a decent metaphor for his career.

Most of his opinions are spot on as I share many of them. Like Deontay Wilder being a first ballot HOF. However, his assessment of VADA as the golden standard for random PED drug testing in boxing is absolutely false.

The fact is VADA has been compromised and is corrupt by none other than the WBC itself and it's President; Mauricio "Fat ass" Sulaiman. If I was a fighter; I would no longer trust that anti-doping testing agency

They are influenced by the WBC from exposing certain fighters they like. For Example: Ryan Garcia, Canelo Alvarez, Erik Morales and Tyson Fury.

Cross contamination theory my ass. First there was the wild boar meat, then the tainted Mexican beef and now the contaminated supplements excuse.

Ryan took and popped dirty for PEDS on purpose in order to cheat. The whole world knows it and he has even acknowledged and confessed to doing it but where is his penalty?

The NYSAC should have been taken very swift and decisive action against him by now. So what is delaying it? Ryan should have been punished for his dubious actions he took in the ring that night against Devin Haney a very long time ago.

He's ranking Wilder as the 4th best of this era but he's forgetting Parker... Parker has surpassed him for sure now. He has a better resume. Parker beat Wilder, Zhang, and Ruiz. That's three better wins than anything Wilder has and Parker is 32 he has more time to add to his resume. As of right now Wilder is not even the 4th best of this era. Even Ruiz could be ranked ahead of him with wins over Joshua and Ortiz (Wilder's best win) and Ruiz still has time to add to his resume. Not to mention Zhang who now has wins over Wilder and Joyce. When it's all set and done Wilder may not even be top 6 of this era. I mean it's not over to have him 4th even now seems too much.

Also, when he's breaking down the HOF of previous heavyweight eras he mentions Floyd Patterson as part of the 1970s. Patterson retired in 1972. I mean can we really count him as part of the 1970s era when he was done in the 1960s...
The controversial topic however is whether someone like Ken Norton even deserves to be in the HOF. People for some reason don't like when you question the past but Norton never won a world title in the ring. Norton is only really known for giving Ali and Holmes tough fights. But if we go by that logic anyone that has ever given a ATG a tough fight should go in the HOF. Listen, I felt Norton beat Ali at least twice but idk if he should be in the HOF. People are not going to like me saying that because people hate when you question the past for some reason, apparently we can only question the present.

Wilder doesn't belong anywhere near to the HOF. It's laughable to even think he is.

Wilder didn't make 10 defences. He got a gift against Fury. But those defences came against absolute turkey's. Not one of them were world class. How can you get in without a single world class win? Bizarre.

                  Joshua
                  Fury
                  Whyte
                  Ruiz
                  Parker
                  Zhang
                  Joyce
                  Chisora
                  Usyk
                  Dubois
                  Povetkin
                  Hrgovic

All have at least one world class win. Wilder doesn't. But Wilder was "One of the big 4"? GTFOH. Please stop smoking whatever it is you're smoking.

He won a paper title because he didn't want to see the champ of the division. Then held it hostage for years, then got beat by 3 different fighters because they were the best 3 guys he fought. People are saying he's the 4th best HW of the era but Parker has more impressive wins and is still performing so Wilder is 5th at best imo.
Wilder wasn't good enough to be 5th even. I've just listed 12 different fighters from the same era who have at least one world class victory. Wilder doesn't.

If he fought and knocked out AJ back then (undisputed) or if Reiss stopped the fight (lineal), it'd be enough to tip him right over the cusp he's sitting on.
AJ couldn't fight him. Wilder was too scared to do so even though there was a stinking amount of money on the table.

Wilder at no point was the best. he was never a legit top 5. It was all based on hype ducking and slander. Not forgetting absolute delusions.
